The Building Les Alpes 11:
Les Alpes 11 was completed recently and is half of a small and exclusive Italian designed complex, situated right in the heart of the town centre, yet at the same time very tranquil. It has a private approach bridge and entrance over the Arve, which flows directly beside the apartment building. With its fifth floor rooftop vantage point, it offers great views of the Mont Blanc massif and you will love the high, angled ceilings and extra room offered with the mezzanine, giving a wonderful feeling of light and space.
Chamonix Town Summer:
The area offers endless opportunities for all manner of activities during the summer months. One of the most popular with all ages and fitness levels is walking - which is quite excellent, ranging from easy rambles on marked paths in the lower forested slopes to more demanding walking at higher altitude above the tree line, giving the opportunity to experience fantastic scenery and being surrounded by mountains, glaciers, streams, icy lakes, alpine meadows and the rarest of wildlife ranging from flowers to animals, birds and butterflies. All provide a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. Most of the higher walks can be reached by cable cars, chairlifts and mountain railways, affording the opportunity to get start walking at altitude. People come from all over the globe to walk in this beautiful environment.
Extras:
Security
Electronic transmitters allow access to gate and garage areas. Tenants can move directly from garage to apartment via the elevator. Entry is on the fifth floor through a high security door, with a video entryphone to only allow authorised visitors thorough the main door. There is no telephone so it would be advisable to bring a mobile for enhanced security. The apartment door is a masterpiece of security, being constructed to a very high security profile with a multiple locking mechanism, peephole and safety bar.
Storage
There is plenty of storage space in the apartment, with floor to ceiling cupboards in the entrance hall and sets of drawers and wardrobes in the bedrooms. For ski/bike storage there is a ski cave in the basement.
Parking
There is secure underground parking in the basement garage with a dedicated parking place, which is accessed directly from the elevator, for one vehicle. A heated ramp ensures access in the deep winter.
Ski:
As one of the World's best and most demanding snow resorts, Chamonix is a truly exceptional area.
The resort is next to a glacier and faces many of the most beautiful peaks of Europe (Les Grands Montets, l'Aiguille Verte, Les Drus, L'Aiguille d'Argentiere...)
It is a high level ski area which offers something for all levels of skier at all altitudes – from Nordic skiing in the valley, through perfect pistes, extensive off piste, to high level ski mountaineering and heli skiing.
The Chamonix ski area and the whole valley (Le Brevent, La Flegere, Le Tour, La Vallee Blanche, Les Houches) are accessible, free, by 'Chamonix Bus' which can be boarded close to the residence, to appropriate pass holders. These ski passes can be bought for the whole valley.
Instruction is available for beginners who wish to take lessons in any winter sport. The pistes are rarely crowded unless there is little snow elsewhere in the Alpes, when the high position of the resort gives it an advantage.
Golf:
The famous course, designed by Robert Trent, sits right in the Valley 10 mins from the apartment. Keep your kit in the car or cave for easy loading. Please see: http://www.golfdechamonix.com/
