Balcon al Mar (balcony to the sea) is established as one of 'environmentally near perfect' Javea's better residential areas at the end of the headland Cabo la Nao. This quiet, south-facing detached villa is set amongst gently undulating pine-clad hills leading to dramatic cliffs. Javea is relatively untouched by the mass market and offers an extensive range of activities including tennis, golf, bowls, horse riding and water sports. The old town of Javea is a bustling fishing village with a modern marina. The main beach at Arenal boasts 1/2 mile of golden sand next to the Costa Blanca's only Parador Hotel (government-run chain of luxury hotels with only the best locations).

Balcon al Mar is one of Javea's older and best situated urbanisations located at the end of the southern headland. The villa backs onto a wooded copse (zona verde) and the neighbours are permanent residents. The pool is surrounded by ample terracing on one level just a few steps down from the living accommodation. Sea views reach south and east and on a clear day the cliffs of Ibiza can been seen (looming surprisingly large for 40 miles). Cap Negre 'The Dawn of Spain' is within easy walking distance and is where the rising sun first encounters the Spanish mainland. Google Earth co-ordinates 38 44'21.73N, 0 13'38.51E will take you into the pool.
