Knysna Heights is a luxurious three-level house situated on a ridge above the picturesque town of Knysna, South Africa’s premier holiday destination. This unique property (completed in 2007) is suspended over the indigenous forest with stunning views to the famous Knysna Heads. Over-sized front doors open to the large entrance hall and lead to the spacious open-plan living area. This level contains the fully equipped modern kitchen with granite surfaces, microwave, electric oven and hob, washing machine and dishwasher; the family room with comfortable couches, open fire place, large LCD screen, satellite TV, Bose Home Entertainment system with CD and DVD; the dining room with table for 8 and a spacious lounge area overlooking the lagoon. The living areas are connected by beautiful stained wooden floors with stunning views through the wrap-around glass doors and from the entertainment decks that surround the house on every side. A small infinity pool overlooks the forest.

We can arrange discounted green fees on your behalf. The Fancourt, a Gary Player signature course, is 60 km away in George. We can ensure a complete golfing holiday by providing advice, booking tee times and organizing transfers or golf club hire at these and many other golf courses in the area. Other activities include canoeing, mountain biking, speedboat cruises (including a sunset cruise), all water sports, skiing etc (including tuition) and fishing. We can provide transfers and picnics for all your day trips To make your stay complete, we provide restaurant recommendations and suggestions for any other activity you may wish to undertake

  • The Villa contains 3 en-suite king-size bedrooms, with options for single bed conversions if required. All bedrooms have under-carpet heating and the Master suite, with its greater exposure to the sun, is provided with air conditioning. The master suite is situated on the top floor with stunning views, a reading corner and a South facing balcony overlooking the lagoon and forest. It has an independent satellite TV system which can also access DVDs from the main TV area. The large en-suite bathroom has twin basins and separate bath and shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are located on the lower floor and these spacious rooms offer an intimate view of the indigenous forest and bird life. Each has a bath or shower en-suite. Music and radio from the central Bose Home entertainment system can be received and independently controlled in each bedroom. Each bedroom is equipped with a personal safe.

Notes: The house is on 3 levels, a strikingly original design, clad in glass, clinging to the side of a South-facing wooded slope with spectacular views over the Knysna Lagoon and the Heads. Balconies hang from all sides for maximum benefit from this outstanding location. The middle level, with its beautiful polished wooden floors and open-plan design, has a sitting area, dining area, TV area and well-equipped kitchen. The extensive East Balcony has a large teak table with 8 chairs for outside dining and a small infinity pool which overlooks the forest. The furniture and decor are luxurious throughout, with a satellite TV entertainment centre and Bose sound system which delivers independently selectable stereo sound throughout the house. A daily maid service is available and breakfast (or even a full catering service) can be provided, both at an additional charge. The open-plan, multi-level design is not suitable for the elderly or small children. Smoking outside only.

Knysna is extremely well positioned, making it feasible to play on a different course every day of the week! We can arrange discounted green fees at two championship courses in Knysna – Pezula, a magnificent course situated on the Eastern Head overlooking the Indian Ocean and Simola, a Jack Nicklaus signature course in the undulating hills behind the town, with more, spectacular vistas. Pezula and Simola are both listed in Compleat Golfer’s Twenty Most Beautiful Courses in SA. Other courses in the area include the Knysna Golf Course, the Fancourt County Club, the George Golf Course, Oubaai (Ernie Els’s first signature course) and the Plettenberg Bay Country Club.
