Casa Julio Verne is a stunning rustic town house, tucked away in the old quarter of the lovely whitewashed town of San Roque. The location is perfect; in the beautiful southwest tip of Andalucia where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. Close by, there is something for everyone, fabulous golf courses, beautiful beaches, the national park which is a bird watchers and walkers paradise and Tarifa and the unspoilt west coast. Relax in the cool and fragrant central courtyard and have a dip in the private pool. Put your feet up in the spacious lounge, where you can listen to a CD, watch satellite TV or write an email home. Soak up the sun and the exquisite views of Gibraltar and Morocco on the roof terrace by day, or enjoy a romantic evening barbeque. All the rooms are spacious doubles/twins with ensuite bathrooms and are elegantly refurbished. Each room comes with personal touches including hairdryer, bathrobes, high-quality bed linen and beds.

Casa Julio Verne is a traditional, spacious home. It has been lovingly restored, with a contemporary feel and has stunning sea views. For most of the year it runs as one of the most popular Bed and Breakfasts in Cadiz. Located in the whitewashed town of San Roque you will find great tapas bars which are excellent value and an annual fiesta and feria. It is a fantastic location for everyone. Close to some of the best golf courses in Europe - San Roque and Sotogrande, 7 minutes from beautiful unspoilt beaches, close to Tarifa and the Costa de la Luz, 5 minutes from National Park which is a bird watchers paradise and 15 minutes to Gibraltar. Take a day trip to Morocco; just 45 minutes on the ferry. Horse riding, whale & dolphin watching, kite & windsurfing and sailing and visit Jerez, Seville & the stunning white mountain villages.

  • All the rooms are spacious doubles/twins with ensuite bathrooms and are elegantly refurbished. Each room comes with many personal touches including fresh flowers, hairdryer, bathrobes, high-quality bed linen and a tea and coffee making facility. The Atlantis Suite is big and filled with light. It has a beautiful bedroom with a sloping ceiling, a sitting room with TV/DVD player and a bathroom with a bath/shower. The Lidenbrock Suite opens out into the central courtyard on the ground floor. The private sitting room has a TV/dvd and can also be converted into a second bedroom. The Nautilus Room on the ground floor is spacious and has a traditional beamed ceiling and chairs for relaxing in by the open fire.

Notes: The upstairs bedroom has air conditioning and the 2 bedrooms on the ground floor have ceiling fans as these stay nice and cool in summer. The garage is large enough for a medium sized car. Children are welcome over the age of 5 (many stairs make it unsuitable for younger children)

This is a fabulous house in a great location. It is a home and B&B most of the year so there is everything you could possibly need and more. It is full of nice touches, great beds, stylish decor and has a great feel to it. The views from the roof terraces are to die for and we enjoyed many a roof top bar b que.
In this south western tip of spain you are close to the beautiful unspoilt beaches of both the Costa de la Luz and the Costa del Sol(west) and near the beautiful national park with it's white villages.
Rose really helped us by recommending local restaurants (which are great value), day trips and good beach bars that we would never have found on our own.
We had a perfect holiday and have already booked in for next year!
