Miles and miles of sandy beeches, lots of on beech entertainment for children. Nearby water slide park, aquarium, marina and fishing ports.

Wildlife and History, explore on water of by road: Lots of nature reserves nearby as this is one of the remaining unspoilt regions of France. Native bulls, white horses and pink flamingos along with hundreds of migrating birds are common to be seen. The Roman influence is everywhere especially in Aigues Mortes walled medieval town, Arles, Nimes and Le Pont du Gard - only a hour drive. The region boasts 3 UNESCO world heritage sites.

Food and Wine, culture: Delicious food is available throughout the region, local framers produce at markets in all the small towns or along the roadside. Vineyard tours and even Local sea salt - which is harvested locally. Local market on Wednesday and Sunday mornings.

Ski: Within 2 hour drive to the north and west there are several mountain ski resorts, summer hiking routes.

Golf: Near by, 5 kms, 36 hol e La Grand Motte with a shorter 18 and 9 hole course.

We have visited Aigues Mortes on several occasions but this time with our boat. Such a luxury to have it moored at the end of the garden!
The house is modern, comfortable and very well equipped with the added security of being within a gated community. We think it enjoys one of the better locations in the marina and we enjoyed eating our meals on the patio watching the boats come and go. Supermarkets and the medieval walled town of Aigues Mortes are only a short distance by car but we walked several times - approx 25mins. Weather was glorious as usual in July and we enjoyed sailing up to the beaches, exploring the canals, the wide range of restaurants, shopping in Montpelier and everything this wonderful region has to offer. We will never tire of it and we will be back!

We loved the house and the location. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The local medival city of Aigues Mortes is very impressive - as is the region which is steeped in history. If you want to experience "real" france and enjoy thier culture this is the place to stay. When in need of some exercies just pick any on of the many sporting activities surrounding the city.
