The villa is located in the beautiful traditional village of Karavados with nearby tavernas. A mini-market with bar (200 yds) offers freshly baked bread, locally sourced eggs, etc. A hotel within walking distance also provides bar/restaurant and outdoor swimming pool (open to the public) . Villa Agios Thomas is located right at the edge of the pretty village of Karavados in the exclusive Laviathos region in the south of Kefalonia. The beautiful views from the front of the villa are of olive groves & cypress trees out to the Ionian Sea and the beautiful view of the island of Zante. Karavados is a small traditional Greek village, with attractive gardens, has two mini-markets with outdoor bars. The closest beach is Agios Thomas; walk from the villa. There is parking at the beach, which has two fantastic tavernas & a beach bar, which has the most beautiful view!. The beach is popular with the Greek locals, rarely busy, unlike some of the larger beaches around. Trapezeki is another fantastic beach which you can get to easily from the villa, with beach bar and a really romantic restaurant/taverna by the sea. Karavados about 15 minutes drive from Argostoli, where you can find good restaurants, harbour side bars & tavernas, internet cafe, shopping (fresh fish, fruit markets)

Kefalonia: The largest of the Ionian Islands, Kefalonia is unspoilt, with a varied, beautiful landscape. The island is very friendly, particularly in Karavados! The beaches are extremely good, the sea usually impossibly blue, particularly on the south coast of the island, and the hospitality in the wealth of tavernas, bars and restaurants is warm & genuine. There is great walking with great views from Mount Ainos, and a host of very beautiful villages near Karavados for those that like to explore. The Melissani Lake, the beautiful old port of Fiscado, beautiful port of Sami, the caves at Drogarti and neighbouring Ithaca provide excellent trips out You can take dolphin spotting boat trips from Argostoli & conservation boat trips from Fiscardo. Boat trips to neighbouring Ithika are also very popular. The snorkeling at locations all around the island is excellent, the closed being at Agios Thomas which is excellent for snorkeling!

Other Activities: hiking, snorkeling, swimming, trips to Zante, wine tasting nearby.

Spacious and Modern Villa in a great location

We had a very relaxing stay at this villa. The accomodation was bright, modern and spacious and very well equiped. It is set in a beautiful location within a short distance of two great beaches but also within easy reach of the City and the Airport and for visiting other parts of the Island. We had some grerat meals at the local Tavernas - would definitely recommend it.

In Villa Agios Thomas mi sono sentita a mio agio, come se fosse stata davvero casa mia. Essenziale ed accogliente, questa casa, che ci ha accolto per la nostra vacanza in un’isola ancora intatta e spettacolare, ha meritato davvero 5 stelle.

We stayed at Villa Agios Thomas in September. We are a family of 6 and the villa was great! Very welcoming hosts, with very helpful guides to the area, recommended restaurants, all the main attractions on Kefalonia! We were close to all the great beaches ie. Agios Thomas, Trapezaki, Lourdata, Aviathos but we went to Agios Thomas beach the most. It's such a lovely beach, with good tavernas and very friendly locals! We would definitely recommend Villa Agios Thomas! Hopefully we'll be there again soon.

We stayed in the villa in October. The weather was absolutely beautiful at that time of year! The villa was located near all the fabulous beaches of St Thomas and another beach Trapezaki (very long sandy beach - didn't manage the walk the full length of the beach!) The villa is in a great location - just a short walk to the supermarket and you can then walk down to the beach of St. Thomas. You will definitely be coming back to stay this year!

Stayed at the villa in October 2008. Beautiful villa in a wonderful traditional Greek village! Extremely well maintained villa and huge garden terrace (ideal for chilling out!) Very good location for neaby beautiful beaches, ie St Thomas, Trapezaki, Aviathos where there are very good tavernas! We will be definitely be staying in this villa again next year!
