This modern, air-conditioned, bright, clean, airy apartment, one of eight in a beautiful, newly refurbished gated block has its own parking, BBQ area, pool and sun loungers. It is situated in the heart of Banyuls sur Mer, five minutes from the shops, beach, marina and excellent beachside bars and restaurants. The apartment has one large double bedroom,walk in shower and separate toilet. A well equiped kitchen area with electric hob and oven, a fridge freezer and washing machine. The large bright lounge/ diner with its double sofa bed, TV and DVD player leads on to the terrace where there is an outside table and chairs to relax and enjoy the most magnificent views of the mountains to one side and Banyuls centre and the sea on the other. The daytime can be relaxing, reading by the pool or beach or for the more energetic leisure may be mountain walks,canoeing, snorkelling or diving. The evenings can be enjoyed with varied outside entertainment of singing and dancing in the square.

Banyuls-sur-Mer is a picturesque seaside village with a definite Catalan flavour.It is situated at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains which are covered in vineyards and which produce the superb wines that are famous in this area. The many beach front restaurants offer a wide choice of food and wine, some with their own evening entertainment.There are coastal and mountain paths with magnificent views for the walkers and cyclists.The beaches offer beautiful clear seawater, perfect for snorkelling and scuba diving. Some of the many other activities include sailing, horse riding, fishing and windsurfing. There is a market held twice a week as well as many interesting beachfront markets during the summer. Because it is only a ten kilometre drive to the Spanish border it is easy to visit some of the nearby Spanish towns and villages.There are good links to Barcelona ,about 2 hours by motorway or train. Banyuls-sur-Mer has a Mediterranean climate and is a lovely place, well worth a visit.

The terracotta apartment block: This small block of apartments was once an hotel which has recently been transformed and refurbished into eight different, interesting and charming apartments so although the outside shell is original, the apartments themselves are new and modern.This gated apartment block retains the original hotel's secluded surroundings shaded by shrubbery and old pine trees. Because of its height and side location, where the terrace has two outlooks, this apartments has, if we may brag, the best panoramic views of all.

The swimming pool: The pool has a security gate and is the perfect size, not too big, not too small. It is never too crowded even during the high season so you will have no problem finding a lounger to relax and dry off.

Other Activities: 2 Hrs drive to Pyrenees ski winter resort.
