This chalet has 7 bedrooms all with en-suite/private facilities and can sleep 14 - 15 guests. The arrival day for this chalet is a Saturday so you can also take advantage of the Eurostar or Snowtrain. It’s in a prime position in Plagne 1800 being less than 20 metres away from the piste and ski school meeting point together with being central in the village, thus there are no long walks to the piste! The chalet is directly next door to our ski hire shops and so this is a great convenience especially for those with small children as you don’t need to carry your skis anywhere! As with all of our other catered chalets our food is marvellous and unlike many major tour operators our chalet hosts are mature and experienced in providing a great catered service. The cosy lounge has a TV and we have free WIFI available. The chalet is set over thee levels with a large sun terrace on the first floor.

Plagne 1800 is one of the 10 villages that make up La Plagne. It is just below La Plagne centre and is surrounded by pine trees. What makes Plagne 1800 the perfect destination for a ski holiday is the considerable variety of amenities throughout the resort and the fact it is 1800m above sea level, hence the name. There are a number of good restaurants including the Mere- Grand which is highly recommend for the chalet hosts night off (pre-booking essential!), Mamma Mia’s and Le Petit Chaperon Rouge are excellent, good value restaurants and in addition there is the Loup Garou and the Loup Blanc. There are three bars including La Mine. For more bars and restaurants there is a free shuttle bus to Plagne Centre that operates until after midnight or you can get a taxi back or even walk! Being at 1800m Plagne 1800 is snow secure and Plagne 1800 has its own ski school which is highly recommended as many of its staff speak English. In addition there is a health and fitness centre.

Other Activities : As well as skiing, there’s a host of other winter sports activities to keep you amused at La Plagne. You’ll find further details in the information booklet in your apartment/chalet, and booking is usually as simple as contacting the tourist office. Here are just a few: Snow Walking - Explore the more remote (and often most beautiful) forested areas around Plagne 1800 - snow shoe hire and guided tours are both available. Bobsleigh : For the more adventurous you can try out the Olympic bobsleigh runs at Plagne 1800. The Bob Raft is a self-steering 4 man bobsleigh. For the real thrills and spills of the sport, try out the Taxi Bob which is a “proper” 4 man bobsleigh driven at 100km/h by a professional driver; or go it alone in your very own Mono Bob. Prices: approximately €34 Bob Raft, €100 Taxi Bob and €95 Mono Bob.

Hang gliding/Paragliding - Instructors are on hand to take you on a thrilling tandem ride over the magnificent scenery of La Plagne - it’s a thrilling way to get a new perspective on the alpine landscape. We recommend the descent from the Grand Rochette with Stephane or Bruno. Prices: approximately €65 for a taster to €120 for a full flight. Please prebook by phoning 00 33 (0) 612 73 66 56. Snow Scooters - Snow scooter hire is available in several locations including Belle Plagne, Plagne Bellecote and Plagne Centre. Ski Touring and Mountaineering - For more advanced skiers and climbers, accredited tours can be arranged by the ESF with helicopter drop offs, ski safaris, ski touring, ice climbing etc.
