Alghero holiday apartment

We were two people renting the Cavour Mediterraneo apartment for 10 days in June. We had a very good time there. It is a beautiful house and the flat has a romantic yet modern and fresh feel to it. The owner is very nice and you can see that he is putting a lot of care into the cleanliness and modern fit out of his apartment. When we came it was carefully refurbished. The view to Capo Caccia is amazing. Every day you open the window and you are likely to see the sea in a different facet. As we were travelling just the two of us it was nice to have a calm place and yet being situated in the neighbourhood of the cosy old part of town. It gave us a sense of being part of it as if we were living there ourselves not just visiting. With being at the best location in the old part of Alghero right at the sea side comes that you can hear the people on the promenade and some music playing in the evening. You might or might not like it. Not so pleasant is that you can hear the bar staff, further down the road, throwing away the empty bottles during the night or the rubbish being picked up early in the morning. But that seems all perfectly normal for a town apartment, which during day time feels absolutely quiet and tranquil. We were able to sleep well and had a relaxing time. We definitely recommend this place.
What might be important to note is that fortunately the old part of town is car free, but in case you rented a car as we did, there is a big parking space in 10 min walking distance, which when we were there in June was free of charge and we always found a place to park.
