Golf:
There are just shy of sixty golf courses in Andalucía, of which thirty are on the Costa del Sol and within easy reach of Casa Jaminally. The clement weather allows golfers of all abilities to enjoy their sport all year round.
During the Eighties, Northern Europe emerged as a force to be reckoned with at all levels of the game, and they were desparate to pursue their sport during the harsh winter months. The warm and sunny winters on the Costa Del Golf quickly became a draw for Northern Europeans to pursue their hobby. Valderrama was chosen to host the Ryder Cup in 1997, and the Costa del Golf was universally recognized as the finest winter golf resort in Europe.
Lauro Golf:
If you enjoy a round or two, the Costa Del Golf has something to offer you at any time of year. There are no longer any 'weak links' on the Costa Del Golf.

Valderrama - approximately 1 and a half hours drive from Casa Jaminally
Par 71 Championship course. The fairways have been described by top pros and leading golf writers as the best in Europe, if not the world. It is not an easy course - nor was it intended to be. It is designed so as to call forth thought and precision for every shot. The course was designed in 1974 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr, one of the great golf course architects, and was originally known as Sotogrande New. In 1984 Trent Jones teamed up with the owner Ortiz-Patino to redesign the course, and also renamed it Valderrama after the ancient estate on which the land is situated. Valderrama has since risen in the Golf World rankings to become the No.1 golf course in mainland Europe, a position proudly held since 1989.
