5 Bedroom stylish family villa with private pool, sea views, and large garden in the quiet residential area of Son Veri, 15km from Palma. Located 50m from the sea, and 1 minute walk from beautiful sandy beach and marina. Superbly located, Son Veri is on a hill very close (10 mins walk), but yet apart from lively El Arenal beach, which is a 5km. sandy beach with numerous stores, restaurants and entertainment possibilities. The coast around Son Veri is full of inlets and coves forming beautiful bathing areas with wonderful views over Palma's Bay, with its clear waters, and spectacular sunsets. The villa is specially convenient for a self-catering summer holiday rental combining the cultural offer of Majorca's capital Palma, and the great natural settings of the island's south region.

Next to the house (one minute walk) is Son Verí beach. Walking in one direction you have El Arenal beach (10 minutes walk), and in the other direction, up to Cala Blava beach (15 minutes walk), the coast is full of inlets and coves forming beautiful bathing areas. There is a small commercial area in Son Verí (5 minutes walk) with a few restaurants, a bank, and a big supermarket, thus making it ideal for self-catering travelling. There is a Tennis Club (with 3 clay courts) located 200 metres from the villa. Son Verí is on the verge of the mostly virgin south of the island, thus a drive through the beautiful scenic road of Cap Blanc will take you to Cala Blava, Cap Enderrocat (5 minutes drive), Cap Blanc (10 minutes), Cala Pi (15 minutes), the prehistoric settlement of Capocorb Vell (15 minutes) and Es Trenc (30 minutes). Use of car not essential; stores, supermarkets, and beaches are within walking distance, and a bus connects Son Verí and Palma's center in 30 minutes.

Villa Son Veri is located in an ideal place; quiet, charming and your day-to day needs (shops, transportation, taxi, restaurants) are within easy walking distance.

We (five ladies) spent there one week in May 2008 and we loved it at the very first sight. The villa itself is big with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and it fits best for families with youngsters (not with very small children because there are lots of stairs) or groups as we. The front garden is very comfortable and roomy with a pool and there is also very nice backyard with a huge table and a barbeque.

At the villa there is everything you need for a perfect holiday; a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, a living room, TV (who wants to look at it?), CD-player, a washing machine and a dish washer. We could not find any shortage.

The owners of the villa were extremely friendly and they were willing to help more than we even imagined.

Our holiday was successful both because of the villa and nice, tidy surroundings. This villa is suitable for those who seek for a quiet, peaceful holiday or those who like to have more action (there is plenty of pubs and restaurant nearby).

I have stayed at Villa Son Veri twice and didn't get my booking in early enough for a third. The first trip consisted a crew of six sailing friends - all men and the second with my wife, 3 grown up daughters & two of thier boyfriends. The house never felt crowded on any occassion and in fact always offered peace & sanctuary when needed. The welcome given by Senora Valles & her son David is very friendly and make you feel instantly at home. The house is beautiful, typically Spanish, clean, very well furnished and equipped and has plenty of airy rooms. The shower & toilet facilities are first class. The established garden & pool are also well maintained, again with lots of corners to explore, lie in the sun or swim. There is always a place in or around the house to either find or hide from the sun. Very handy for the small beach & marina where the best restaurants are and only 15 minutes or so from Palma. There are nice Cala's & beaches a short drive to south and some nice walks with great views. The biggest problem here is getting people away from the house to go sailing, sightseeing or shopping. We look forward to coming back.

Fab holiday - September 2008

This is a beautiful house and the pictures on the website don't do it justice. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to go back one day.

We arrived early and the owners could not have been more accommodating. They even drove us from home and back again after a trip to the local supermarket, so we could stock up on heavy items and also gave us a lift back to the airport.

The property was very clean and well maintained and had the 'wow' factor. The area surrounding the house is very quiet and tranquil and just minutes away from the sea, with a beach view walk in one direction and the main beaches in the other direction.

Unfortunately, we weren't so lucky with the weather but, luckily, there was plenty to so when we couldn't spend time on the beach or by the pool. We took day trips to the aquarium, aqualand and the water park with the dolphin show. The aquarium is fantastic and definitely worth a visit.

When we could get to the beach, it was a 10 minute walk. The part of the beach where we were, ie nearest to the villa, was quiet with shallow water which was great for children. Walking further into town, the beach gets very busy and the area becomes more touristy.

In the evening we sometimes went into town for a meal. Lots of good restaurants to choose from, our favourite being Fashion Tapas which is based on the road with the chemist on the corner as you walk into town from the villa.

With the villa being 15 mins or so from Palma airport, you couldn't be more ideally located. We took a bus into Palma and had a great day visiting all the famous attractions, such as the cathedral. The buses are frequent and cheap.

So, all in all, we had a great time and I would thoroughly recommend this villa to those considering visiting this area.
