Local bus services are frequent and go to local and destinations further afield such as Larnaca, Palimini, Protaras and boat trips from Ayia Napa Harbour are frequent and take pleasure cruises down the coast with food and bar services.
Excursions can be arranged from various agents in Ayia Napa to Limasol, Pathos, Nicosia, Troodos Mountains etc, also specialised trips to visit Roman sites, museums etc,
Sking is available in the Troodos mountains during the winter, when snow conditions permit skies etc., are supplied by the ski resort, ask for more details.
Diving snorkelling is very popular in the area with many qualified diving schools to choose from equipment is provided by the diving schools.
A local park is situated nearby which has childrens swings see/saws, roundabouts and slide with plentiful seating for parents.
On every Wednesday 300 metres at Ayia Thekla taverna is a medium sized traders market with a selection of home made foods,clothing, books fruit & veg etc.

The local area has many excellent walks you can choose a pleasant walk by the sea down the coast to Potamos which is a river leading to the sea with many local fishing boats in the harbour you can sit and enjoy a meal and sample the local fish,watching the fishermen prepare their nets and enjoy a panoramic views of the coast, Potamos has a lovely sandy beach which is normally very quiet and very safe for children to play.
Taking the opposite direction you can walk through all the local sandy beaches stopping for a drink in many of excellent beach taverners. Your final destination would be Ayia Napa harbour with all the large pleasure boats. again you can sit at a local taverna and watch the activity go by.
For the adventurous bicycles are plentiful and cheap to hire and the roads have bicycle tracks to keep you safe, you are within easy reach of local towns and villages like Paralimini, Ayia Napa, Sotira, and Liopetri on your way you will pass farmers at work in the fiel
