Welcome to La Merigue. Nestled atop our five acre South facing hillside, with unspoilt magnificent valley views, lie our four lovingly renovated cottages providing year round comfort. La Grange is a detached three bedroom cottage, arranged over four floors, comfortably sleeping 6 (two double rooms one en-suite plus family bathroom and twin room) with it's own private pool The cottage has been renovated to an extremely high standard and have their own dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, Hi-Fi, video, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi connection and outside gas BBQ. Nearby you will find great walks, cycle paths, canoeing, golf, plus fabulous restaurants and historic villages, chateaux and sites for you to visit.

La Bergiade is a sympathetically converted cattle barn dating back to 1835. It stands in it's own grounds and is not overlooked whilst enjoying magnificent South facing views across a deep wooded valley. It has a lovely terrace and shares a pool with 2 of our other lovely gites, Les Roches (which sleeps 4) and Sauvagine (which sleeps 2). The lower ground floor has a spacious and fully fitted farmhouse style kitchen and dining area and a large lounge with comfortable seating in front of a wood burning stove plus TV with UK satellite channels and DVD/Video plus a CD Player On the upper floor are two double bedrooms (one en-suite), a twin bedded room plus a family bathroom with full size bath. Outside is a private eating area and your own gas BBQ where you can sit and relax whilst gazing across the valley or meander down to the pool.

Just a few minutes drive or twenty walk away is our picturesque village of Thedirac which has a tennis court and fabulous boulangerie for your morning croissants. A 5 minute drive will take you to Catus which has a great Tuesday market, a supermarket, butcher, tabac and a great Auberge plus the Lac Vert where you will find a beach, volleyball, pedaloes, tennis courts and bar restaurants. Twenty minutes by car to the North is the market town of Gourdon and 25 minutes drive to the South is Cahors, the capital of the Quercy, with it's amazing ancient Pont Valentre and the Lot river with its meandering roads to wonderful sites and cliff-top villages. 25 minutes to the North lies the Dordogne river where you can spend the day canoeing leisurely past Chateaux and wonderful views, stopping to picnic at any chosen spot. No matter which direction you choose to go you will find something for everyone from Rocamadour to St Cirq Lapopie to the winding Cele Valley you won't be disappointed.

Extra Facilities: We are happy to offer some extra facilities to our guests: Meals on arrival - in addition to the welcome pack which we leave for every guest we are very happy to provide you with a meal on arrival (which is often welcomed after a long journey). The meal itself is a simple one-pot dish made with local ingredients plus a cheese course and sweet plus wine. It is all prepared and just requires re-heating on arrival. The price per adult is 20 Euros and for children 12 euros. We can cater for vegetarians and any special needs. Reflexology/Pedicures - Di is a fully trained reflexologist and what could be more relaxing after a days sight-seeing than a lovely massage or pedicure? Sessions can be given either in the grounds (in the shade of a tree maybe) or in the comfort of your gite. Prices start from 15 euros for a half hour session.

Sports on Site: We have several games available to guests including table tennis, badminton, boules and, on a very short drive away in Thedirac village, a tennis court which is free of charge. This is a perfect area for walking with walks of any distance you choose directly from the property.
