The apartment was absolutely beautiful - just as the photographs promised. The view from the balcony was spectacular, especially at sunset. The beds were comfortable, there was air-conditioning in each of the bedrooms and living area and the kitchen was extremely well-equipped.
Of course, in order to have that spectacular view, the apartment needed to be high up The walk from the apartment to the beach was 7 minutes downhill but the walk back is excruciatingly steep, and especially hard when loaded down with bags, lilos etc!!! Kept us fit if nothing else!
The beach itself was long, but not deep and was very, very busy; the sea was safe for the children to swim in. The only moan would be the loud music which came from many of the beach bars, from as early as four o'clock in the afternoon. Not especially relaxing! At night Okrug and the beach area was busy - we found a lovely restaurant which was situated at the North end of the beach, but we would say that you should definitely spend some evenings in Trogir. What a wonderful old town, in beautiful condition and steeped in history. The boat 'taxi' is the way to travel between the two places - we spent nine days without a car and didn't really miss one, but beware when getting a taxi to the airport - it's an absolute rip-off!!
Just another moan - very loud music from the harbour on Saturday evenings and, when we were there, on Wednesday as well, both until 1.30 in the morning.
All in all we had a really lovely holiday - the apartment is a very good choice as long as you are not elderly, have a heart condition or have very small children with you!!! The view is definitely worth the climb though!!!
