Chateau de Savennes is the perfect escape for large groups of friends or families looking for an exclusive holiday in one of the most naturally beautiful areas of France - the Auvergne. The 16th Century Chateau has been fully renovated to provide boutique style accommodation combining classical decoration with contemporary fittings. The chateau is vast and can sleep up to 20 people in its spacious suites. It has huge reception rooms including your own bar and cinema. The gardens and the immediate area is picturesque and peaceful with many walks down to the gorges that border the village. The volcanic mountains are less than 20 minutes away and are a mecca for adrenalin junkies as well as those that enjoy more relaxing activities. The Chateau is split into 3 wings, over 3 floors. The turreted East wing is the oldest and biggest with over 1000 square metres The middle wing adjoins this with further accommodation. The West wing is self contained private quarters of the chateau staff.

Savennes is a tiny village on the edge of the Puy-De-Dome National Park, with its spectacular volcanic mountain range. The Chateau has views of the Puy-De-Sancy - the highest mountain in the range, providing amazing walking, horse-riding and mountain biking right on your doorstep. Nearby tourist centres of La Bourboule and Le Mont Dore are within 25 minutes drive, providing outdoor pursuits from walking and horse riding to paragliding. In the village there is a bar and restaurant. The nearest shops can be found 5 km away in neighbouring village, Messeix, providing essentials such as a Boulangerie, Butchers, Pharmacy and basic grocery store. Ussel provides a large supermarket within 25 minutes drive. The village of Savennes has its own Bar (should you tire of the bar at the Chateau!), which serves basic meals. Other Restaurants can be found a short drive away at Bourg Lastic or La Bourboule.
