Whether you have young children or teenagers you can relax knowing there is plenty for them to do. This townhouse is in a particularly quiet area but so well placed for everything. You are not really overlooked and can relax totally in a beautifully presented house that has kept its old charm. Dine outside and enjoy the beautiful views, from the back patio or top terrace. Probably Portugal's best known golf, tennis and beach resort. Set within a beautiful area the beaches are very clean and stretch for many miles of golden sand backed by rugged cliffs. Vale do Lobo does provide everything, but the luxury resort of Quinta do Lago is just 5 minutes away and Almancil can provide all your shopping needs. Easy trips down the motorway will take you to Albufeira and the fantastic shopping mall at Algarve shopping. Going East, Tavira is an attractive coastal town and Olhao has great fish and vegetable markets on the quayside. There are many nearby golf courses, the best in the Algarve and also nearby sports facilities, spa and beauty clinics for the ladies. This is an all year resort with much to do during all the seasons and golf being especially popular in the months outside the very hot summer.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We can take payment in either Sterling or Euros. We will ask for a 20% deposit to secure the booking with the balance being payable two months prior to the stay. A security/excess cleaning deposit of £400 will be required at the same time as the balance and held until two weeks after departure, when the property has been inspected. Unlike many properties we DO NOT charge for air conditioning or heating. I am afraid that we cannot take bookings from groups of under 25 year olds.
  • There is a maid service twice a week when linen and towels will be changed (linen once a week, towels twice). Please be advised that we do not provide beach/pool towels so you will have to bring these yourself. We also have an excellent local agent who will be able to help with any other problems that might occur. Cots and high chairs can be provided at an additional cost of £30/week each.
  • Check out time in 10am on the day of departure and access to the house is from 4pm on the day of arrival. Bags can usually be left at the house while the cleaning is being undertaken. If there are no guests in the house before or after your visit these times can sometimes be altered by prior arrangement

  • Both bathrooms have been newly refurbished to a very high standard and look stunning. Both have heated towel rails.

All have very large fully fitted wardrobes and all have hot/cold air conditioning. Bed 3 could easily fit a child bed in or cot. There is also a main bathroom with shower.

Notes: The property is a detached townhouse set on 3 floors. Flat screen TV with full Sky package and also internet. There is a garden area accessed by patio doors from the main lounge/dining area. There is a table + 6 chairs for outside dining and attractive garden area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor and there is a top terrace and laundry area with another fridge, washing machine and sink and large drying area hidden at the side of the top terrace. There is dining table and chairs for 6 and 2 sun loungers with wooden pagoda to shade the dining area. There is a large parasol that can be put up over the sun loungers. Stunning views of the beach can be seen all the way down to Albufeira and the small lights of the fishing boats can be seen going out against a wonderful sunset. Only unsuitable for the elderly or infirm due to the amount of stairs. Kitchen is modern with plenty of saucepans, crockery,cutlery, some plastic kids cups/plates etc.

Lovely Family Holiday

We (2 adults and 2 small children) had a fantastic week staying at this property in Vale do Lobo. Close enough to the beach that it was an easy stroll and also to the cafes along la praca etc. At the villa, we spent most of our time on the downstairs terrace as it was a little cooler and nearer the kitchen etc (although there is a fridge for the top terrace too!). If that suits any future renters, would recommend you bring the upstairs terrace chairs down to the downstairs terrace as they're much more comfortable. The mid week clean was a nice surprise and they were very efficient. Everything like aircon worked well and there's a great shower in the master bathroom. Slightly disappointing to not get free access to the pool, but with the sea so close, not a big deal. The restaurant offerings along la praca are fine, but not much more than that. Definitely go a little further afield to some of the places along the beach such as BJs which is fantastic for sunset.

Great Teenage Venue

"The townhouse is really lovely, very tastefully decorated in neutral colours which makes it really restful. The bathrooms are excellent, very clean and the water pressure is great for long showers after a day at the beach. The house has everything you could possibly want - including satellite TV - an essential for slothful teenagers.

The roof terrace gets the sun from 10am onwards - so good for sunbathing when the sun is not too hot and great for an evening glass of wine whilst the sun sets.

"We were really pleased we chose this accommodation because the other houses we had considered turned out to be quite a walk away from the Praca and the beach. We found we could easily walk to and from the beach during the day and then down to the Praca for a meal or drinks in the evening. We varied our route each time so that we could sneak a look at some of the fantastic properties and their lovely gardens.

"As for the resort of Vale do Lobo - our 16 year old daughter and her friend thought they had died and gone to heaven! They made so many friends of different nationalities in the beach bar or cocktail bars, we hardly got to see them during the fortnight. They loved swimming in the sea because it is so clean, no seaweed or big rocks but they also enjoyed the watersports at the lake in neighbouring Quinta do lobo.

"All in all we can totally recommend this property and Villa do Lobo to anyone looking for an upmarket, pleasant, relaxing and fun holiday."

Friend were Jealous!

Just a note to say that we had a fabulous time in Portugal. The house was superb, as you say it has all mod cons and being so newly done it felt like being in a boutique hotel.

You (or your wife) have really good taste. The photos don't do the place justice.

A question: are the tiles flush to the wall because you had the walls skimmed at the same time? It is a really good look.

Anyhow, we would highly recommend the house to anyone. Our friends who we went with were really jealous of our pad!

Hopefully we will come back.....

Stunning Roof Terrace

Thanks for your email I was just about to contact you to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your villa, everything was even better than we expected and the walk to the Praca was just the right distance especially coming up hill after a lovely meal. Whilst chatting about Portugal we decided as a family we have stayed in about 12 different villas and your's is one we would like to use again. The maid service was excellent, decor very good and roof terrace wonderful for catching the rays. Only comment would be how quiet Vale do Lobpo seemed to be, maybe we are a little early this year.

Excellent in every way

The house and its location are everything that the description suggests. Internally, recent refurbishment has created a accommodation that is stylish, very comfortable and well equipped in every department.From the utilitarian - more than enough pots, pans etc - to the designer touches - but no sacrifice of comfort - everything was first rate.

Externally, everything that's said about the terraces and the stunning sea views is spot on. There are sea views across a tumbling foreground of cobbled pathways, teracotta roofs, maritime pines, attracive shrubbery and Algarve chimneys to the sea from the front terrace, balcony and roof terrace. The view from the roof terrace is particularly spectacular, taking in the whole coastline from Vale do Lobo to Albufeira and beyond - it'll be a long time before we forget the sunny breakfasts and magnificent sunsets that we enjoyed there.

We've always though the older, more established and largely pedestrianised heart of Vale do Lobo to have a lot of charm, and this house is well positioned to capitalise on that. It is quietly positioned, but with ready access to parking and all amenities, being just a short and very pleasant stroll from the sea-front "praca", with bars, restaurants and shops.

We've stayed at a number of properties in and around Vale do Lobo, but this is our clear favourite and we're looking forward to going back.

We should just add that the owners were very helpful and straightforward to deal with. We had no problems requiring the assistance of the local agents, but it was reassuring to have local contacts, should we have needed them.
