The historic old fishing village of Javea is situated on the most easterly point of the Spanish mainland and is blessed with a spectacular rugged coastline and was voted by the World Health Authority as having an ideal climate with an average of 320 days of sunshine. Javea is ideally situated between Aliante and Valencia airports and is about an hours drive. There are three main parts to Javea, the Old Town with its ancient church, narrow cobbled streets full of charm, the port with its fishing market, boats , bars and restaurants and finally the famous bay of Javea with its Arenal sandy beaches, bars ,restaurants and shops which is very lively day and night throughout the summer.There is a weekly street market on Thursdays where you can buy lovely fresh fruit and veg plus many other things.Benidorm 30 minutes south hosts Terra Mitica and Natura theme parks, also Aqualandia the water rides park. It is still possible to eat in this area with the (menu del dia) for around 10 euros.
