The best of both worlds a sun drenched villa only five minutes walk to village centre but only a ten minute drive to the beautiful beaches at Argeles and Racou. The property is in a quite residential area and situated on 400 square metres of mature garden All mod-cons with a cool cellar to store the local wines! Relax by the pool during the day or plan a leisurely walk up the nearby slopes.You can be more active and cycle to the nearby beaches or neighbouring villages. At night you can walk to the main square for a meal or a cool beer and mix with the locals as they perform some Catalan dance routines. Visit the local market twice weekly and pick up some local produce to try on the barbeque.

Sorede, one of a number of small villages clustered together on the foot of the Alberes mountains but only 7 km to the Mediterranean gold coast at Argeles.The village boasts 5 restaurants, catering for all tastes, a bank, pharmacy, children's playground,2 boulangaries, a cave. and a tourist office The are a variety of supermarkets within a 5 minute drive nearby. A great location for lots of outdoor activity. Nearby there is a turtle farm and if you have the energy a short walk uphill will provide stunning views of the coast and surrounding villages. A drive along the coast brings you to Collioure (a must see) One hour to Gerona airport and half that to Perpignan both served by Ryanair make it very easy to access this beautiful area

Day trips: Sorede is an ideal base from which to plan long or short day trips. You are in Perpignan in 20 minutes and on the motorway heading south to Barcelona(2 hours) or north to Carcossone in 15 mins. The Pyrenees ski slopes are only one and a half hours away. There are numerous Catalan villages and spectacular sea views in all directions. Just across the border you can visit the famous Dali museum, or take in some of the beautiful Costa Bravo beaches all less than an hour away

Winter breaks: Why not combine some skiing and a visit to Barcelona by making Sorede a base for both during the skiing season. Two hour drives will have you at both comfortably.

A Great Holiday in Sorede

A well appointed house in a very pleasant location. A true home from home. Although with the pool and covered outdoor eating area we didn't spend much time indoors.
A short walk to the centre of Sorede provided everything we needed including a good selection of restaurants.
A good location for visiting other villages and the coast.
We hope to return next year.

An excellent family holiday. So good we are going back again this summer. The house is in immaculate condition and it has everything you need. The pool is beautiful and is cleaned twice a week.
There is also a great barbeque and a dining area outside with lots of outdoor seating.
The village of Sorede is only a 5 minute walk with shops for your basic needs and about 5 restaurants to choose from.
The beach is a 10 minute drive with plenty of shops and restaurants in Argeles. It is a lovely place to go at any time of the day or evening.
We would highly recommend it.

Super time in Sorede

I spent a wonderful week in this house last September. The house is superb, spacious, spotless and all the appliances are brand new. The pool area is of the highest standard - modern, clean and well laid out. We were totally at peace, like being at home in a top class hotel.

Sorede is very French - the typical shops selling fresh bread and vegetables. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and two lovely squares. In September life was calm and the pace was slow - c'est la vie bien sur!

The location is wonderful. We loved Coliere and spent a whole day there, but there are lots of little villages in the area to explore - Barcelona and Carcassonne are within easy distance. We took the train from Figueres. When you disembark at Central Station you are right beside the two bus tours. I'd recommend an overnight in Barcelona, and after the mad excitement of the Catalan capital, you can return to the tranquility of Sorede.
