This unique Ottoman style semi-detached holiday villa is located in one of the best parts of Akyaka. It is in the centre of the upper village and has a commanding position that overlooks the village with superb views to the sea and surrounding mountains and forests. It is in a ideal location for those who would like to experience the local life with easy access to shops, a great variety of restaurants and the beach, but also for those who like tranquility of the marvellous gardens away from the exciting bustle of the lower village. You benefit from the lovely light sea breeze which makes the hot summer nights more enjoyable. In Villa Bahar you get the best of both worlds. The views are stunning, the Sakar hills to the back of the house and the Gokova bay to the front. Set in its own garden, the villa is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, or to arrange the many exciting excursions that are available.

Akyaka is a beautiful village nestled at the tip of the magnificent Gokova Bay nature reserve. It is on the road between the towns of Mugla, famous for its traditional markets and Marmaris, an exciting, bustling tourist resort; both just 30mins away, and a convenient 45 minute transfer from Dalaman airport. With its backdrop of rugged mountains, pine forests, crystal clear freshwater river, Blue flag beaches and turquoise bays, Akyaka really is a special holiday location. You will notice immediately the wonderful Ottoman style architecture created by the famous architect Nahil Cakirhan whose goal was to blend dwellings with nature. The village is perfectly located to make excursions to world famous historical sites such as ancient Ephasus, Pamukale and the beautiful turtle beach of Iz Tuzu. From Akyaka harbour there are an abundance of boat trips to hidden islands and coves. For those of a active nature the Akyaka 'Ruzgar' club offers activities from Kite surfing and sailing to cycling

  • *To secure a booking we require a 25% deposit. Balance of payment to be made 8 weeks prior to arrival date. *We require breakage deposit of 1 week for short stay and minimum 2 weeks of rental for long stay. These are fully refundable 1 week after your departure providing that there are no damages.
    *One off compulsory cleaning charge is £40
    *Prices do not include flight or airport taxi transfers. We will be happy to arrange transfers at cost price. Usually £70 return for up to 4 people from Dalaman airport to the house. You pay the driver direct on the day!

Great holiday in Akyaka

It was a really our best holidays in Turkey. Akyaka it`s a beautiful place with shallow sandy beach ( very comfortable for children). Bahar villa is very comfortable, spacious , well-maintained, well-equipment, with great view and lovely garden. All main shops are in 5 min. walk. Road from the beach to home runs up the hill, so it takes 15-20 min.

Very nice and clean house in the heights of Akyaka with very nice view over the Gokova gulf. Definitely recommended for people enjoying village local life away from the mass tourism. Many walks are avialable in the area. Local shop and facilities are all within 300yards including the weekly market. The area is superb and worth discovering. Tours are available in the local travel agency. Internet cafe is also available closeby. Beach is 1km downhill and sea activities (windsurf, sailing, boat trip in the Gokova gulf) as well.
Spend a great time (2 weeks) with my family (2 adults 3 children) in a superb area of Turkey.
