Located in the Hohe Tauern National Park, 1 hour from Slazburgh, is this Luxury 3 bedroom, ground floor self catering apartment (sleeps 6) with decking and garden. The open plan living area has spectacular views of the Sonnblick Mountain and is equipped with flat screen TV, DVD and CD player. The gondola is 150m away and Rauris is one of the best places to learn to ski with tree lined runs ideal for beginners and intermediates alike. There is also a large sledging run. Summer also has many local activities including walking, cycling, gold panning, white water rafting and many more. In December 2008 the adjoining Wellness Centre has opened (with indoor./outdoor swimming pool, sauna,gym, massage, bar and restaurant) with free access to all guests. Rauris and the valley is home to many restaurants and bars, a brewery, schnapps distillery and 2 friendly nightclubs.

Nearest Airport: Salzburg at 40 Miles
Nearest Train: Taxenbach at 5 Miles
Car: not necessary
Rauris is a chocolate box town but very well provided for. The valley is breathtaking and has many hidden gems (like trips up the Glacier and spotting the rare Vultures) to enjoy. It has 2 supermarkets, post office, 2 banks (with cash machines), Bakers and various other shops and tourist information office (the Salzburgerland Karte can be purchased from here and this gives you discounts for free access to many attractions within Salzburgerland). There are many hotels and restaurants within Rauris and the nearby village of Worth. There are also several local bars which are worth a visit! The main gondola is less than 200m away. The long tree lined runs are fantastic for beginners and intermediates and there are two great ski schools in Rauris for children and adults alike. If you want to ski in the surrounding area Zell am See and Kaprun (20 mins), Bad Hofgastein (25 mins) and Kitzbuhl (1 hr away) are very worth a visit.

  • £100 cheque for potential damages should also be sent with the deposit (this will be returned one week after the holiday).
