Casa da Falésia is located in the area of Açoteias and is only 200 meters away from Falésia beach. The house is part of a quiet complex with a large shared pool, which makes it perfect for groups or families. There is an electric gate that will take you into the complex - Casa da Falésia is the last house (semi-detached). There are a few steps leading up to the front door and garden area. This modern 3 storey house has a well equipped kitchen that also has a back door leading out to a little balcony with BBQ. The spacious living-dining room is air conditioned and has table and chairs for 8 persons, comfortable sofas (one is a double sofa bed), plasma TV and large patio doors leading onto a furnished terrace. This private terrace has steps leading down to gardens and to the shared swimming pool. The next 2 floors offer 3 bedrooms: 1 twin and 2 doubles, all have air conditioning, fitted wardrobes, private balconies with lovely views, 2 share a bathroom and one double has an ensuite.

Falésia beach is just 200 meters away, where you will find a snack bar and steps leading down to a huge sandy beach. There are some amenities within walking distance such as supermarkets, various services such as banks, restaurants bars and shops. There is also the Sheraton Pine Cliffs nearby, where you can enjoy a meal or snack at the beach bar. There is a 9 holes golf course at the Pine Cliffs as well, and the Balaia Golf Village is only a couple of minutes away by car. A 2 minutes drive away will take you to the village of Olhos de Água - this small resort offers various services such as a bank, a chemist, health centre, supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, taxi rank, market, etc. There are more beaches to visit in the area, such as Santa Eulália, Praia da Oura and Albufeira beach, they have a variety of water sports available, as well as enjoyable meals in the existing restaurant. The shopping centre “Algarve Shopping” is situated in Guia which is approx. 20 minutes away.

Nearly everything we were looking for

The house is at the end of a short row of about 10 identical houses. When we stayed at the end of May only one of the others was occupied, so we had the shared swimming pool almost to ourselves. Be warned: house has lots of stairs, but main b/rooms have big balconies with restricted sea views.
Proximity to Falesia beach was a huge bonus for our two families. Falesia is small and quiet but has restaurants and (an expensive) supermarket.
Minor quibble: the loo rolls soon ran out!
