Frequent scheduled and charter flights out of England to northern cyprus (Ercan). N. Cyprus has direct air links with Turkey where all planes must first touch down, you stay in the aircraft and then you take off again direct to Ercan (about 25/30 mins to apartment). Advice from the owner can be given about the cheapest flights directly to Ercan. Flights also go from England to Southern Cyprus (Easy Jet into Paphos and Larnaca) From Larnaca, its about 45 mins and from Paphos its takes 1 1/2hrs Can arrange airport collection/car hire.
Electricity: 240 volts. Plugs are in English standards.Climate:Climate: The island is typical Mediterranean. It has dry, long summers and warm, short, winters. Cyprus has an alround sunny climate. Temperatures begin in January, February, and March with averages of 15, 17 and 21c and climb to 30c in the summer time. October has average daily temperatures of 25c, November has 23c and December has a pleasant temp of 17c. T shirts can be worn during Dec.

With its Venetian castle and picturesque harbour, plus the backdrop of the Bespmark (Five Finger) Mountain, Kyrenia is one of the most attractive towns in northern cyprus. It offers the most magnificent scenery of the island. Kyrenia has a charming and tiny harbour, full of yachts and fishing boats. The castle has one of the oldest shipwreck's on display (estimated to be 2300 years old) found in 1965. Scuba diving lessons/trips can be arranged from the harbour area. Scenic evening cruises can be enjoyed too. Bellapais Village - the character of the abbey is breathtaking. The abbey is used for music concerts and plenty of walks around the village to delight the walkers. Nicosia (Lefkosa) is the capital of both north and south cyprus and is divided. It takes back 2,200 years to the settlement of Ledra. Many historical places to visit. Todays Nicosia offers lots of shops and an old bazaar for the shoppers.

Golf:
For the golfers, there is a new 18 hole golf course at Essentepe, about 15 minutes from the apartment. In the summer, it is best to play early morning or late afternoon to avoid the hot sunshine. Please ask the owner about further details.
