The estate is located about 100 m above sea level, midway between Catania and Syracuse, among the foothills of the white Ibleo plain. It is only 8 km from the lovely sea at Brucoli, and even closer to other seaside resorts. The deep valley carved by the San Calogero river harbours numerous archaeological remains from the pre-Greek period. Not far from many archaeological sites:Syracuse offers many areas of considerable archaeological, environmental and naturalistic interest. First of all, the archaeological park of Syracuse, where you can admire the Greek Theatre, the Orecchio di Dionisio, the Ara of Ierone, while in the ancient city centre, the isle of Ortigia. And, also, the Vendicari oasis,a protected nature reserve;Pantalica,an interesting site for naturalistic and archaeological reasons. And also: Caltagirone, wich is famous for the production of pottery, particularly maiolica wares; Ragusa Ibla famous for its baroque architecture;Mount Etna a largest active volcano in Europe, and many others.
