Great property for families

We stayed at the property in October 2008 and had a great experience.
The description of the villa was very accurate and it was well equipped and very clean on our arrival. The toy box was a welcome find for our 3 year old daughter and in fact her own bag of toys and books were hardly used in the time that we were there! The beach toys were also great and we used most of them. The night light was also a very welcome find!
The local area was different to what we would normally look for in a holiday area as it is quite built up but this has huge advantages with a little one as there are lots of local amenities. We walked into Serignan on several occasions (about 20 minutes with 3 year old) and really enjoyed the local market, bakeries and cafes. The beaches were lovely and we spent hours on the "playground beach" as it became known (Valras Plage with the playground actually on the beach, hours of fun for little people), walking and swimming at Serignan and also Portiragnes, where there is a nice restaurant with good local food. We also visited the Canal du Midi at Castelnaudry which was very picturesque.
A car is essential, as most things, with the exception of Serignan and the local hypermarket, are too far to walk.
We were having such a nice time that the day before we were due to leave, we decided to extend our stay for 4 days. Mark and Alison were easily contactable and made this an easy process, customer service was excellent throughout.
All in all, we had a great stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the villa. It does seem particularly suitable for young familes and is great being all on one level.
