Both bedrooms beautifully furnished; one with large double bed and the other with 2 singles which can be made up as a double. One en-suite bathroom and additional bathroom, both with magnificent showers with seat, radio, light and other features including rainforest head and side jets. The lounge and both bedrooms have huge sliding doors onto the massive terrace. 39 inch plasma wall-mounted TV with satellite channels, DVD player, iPod speakers, CD player & wireless internet access. Massive south west facing terrace has the sun from late morning until sunset. Lidia Gardens is a new, contemporary development with external glass lifts, water walls and a deck style swimming pool. It is ideally situated in Calahonda, between Fuengirola and Marbella and only 25 minutes from Malaga airport. There are numerous beaches, restaurants and bars in the area; whilst it is possible to walk to some of them, a car is essential (it's uphill on the way back!) A large supermarket is less than 5 minutes by car. If you are a golfer you will be spoilt for choice; there are over 60 golf courses on the Costa del Sol. For tennis or squash, the Club del Sol is about 3 minutes drive away. We have spent many holidays in the area and obviously have our favourite beaches, restaurants and bars. We are very happy to share this information with you if you would like further details before you book.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Please enquire about rates for longer stays or 4 night stays (only applies during off high season lets).
    Ideally sleeps up to four persons, but there is a double sofa bed in the lounge if required. There is an extra charge of £100 per week for this.
  • Check in is from 4pm on arrival day and check out is by 10am on departure day. May be some flexibility depending on previous and subsequent booking dates and times.
  • 25% deposit to confirm reservation (this is non-refundable). Balance plus £200 refundable damage deposit to be paid 8 weeks prior to holiday. The damage deposit will be refunded within a week of inspection by housekeeper. Cancellation charges: 56-30 days 60%, 29-22 days 75%, 21-15 days 90%, 14 days or less 100%. Cancellations must be made in writing, by letter or email, and confirmed by the owner. Rental charges include cleaning the apartment prior to your visit. Linen and towels included, except for beach and pool.

Notes: The separate kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, cafetiere and washing machine and has a hatch through to the dining area. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and glasses plus plastic tumblers for the hot tub. There are four steps from the road to the rear entrance of the apartment, so not suitable for wheelchairs. Not suitable for young children as there is a large drop below the balcony.

Terrace: The south-west facing terrace is enormous with fabulous panoramic views. When visibility is good, you can see Gibraltar and the coast of Africa. There is no greater pleasure than sitting in the hot tub on the terrace with a glass of champagne, watching the sun go down! The lounge and both bedrooms have sliding doors directly onto the terrace, which has three areas. One for dining/sunbathing, one with the luxury hot tub and gas barbecue, and one shady area for those scorching hot days!

Golf and tennis: There are so many golf courses on the Costa del Sol, that the keen golfer will be spoilt for choice. The closest course to our apartment is Miraflores which is 2 minutes away by car and also has a driving range. Designed by Falco Nardi and opened in 1990, Miraflores Golf Club offers a real challenge to all levels of golfing ability. Each one of the 18 holes offers a different challenge. The course follows the natural contours of the valley and is much flatter than first appearance suggests.Tennis or squash players will love the Club del Sol which is also a couple of minutes away by car. The club has 12 excellent tennis courts, comprising of 9 brand new clay courts and 3 plexi-cushion courts. The club offers classes, mix-in games that offer you the chance to join in and play those of a similar standard or you can play in the doubles tournament that starts at 11 every Sunday. There are also 4 paddle tennis courts, 4 squash courts, a quality gym and changing rooms with sauna & jacuzzi.

Skiing: We have skied for years and love skiing in the Sierra Nevada, which is a scenic 2 hour drive away from the apartment. It may not be as extensive as The Three Valleys or The Portes du Soleil, but the skiing is great with the village at 2100 metres and skiing up to 3300 metres.

Beautiful Home from Home

I am a regular visitor to this region of Spain and i have stayed in the region of Miraflores/ Calahonda over 50 times. The area itself is absolutely perfect with a great balance between relaxing and lively. Having stayed in numerous rental apartments in this area I can say that this apartment is the best the best to date with a real feel of staying in an apartment used by its owner rather than an empty apartment (like Most) that you know the owner uses purely for rentals. The difference between the two has become hugely arrant during my stay at Lidia Gardens as from the moment we arrived we could relax as the apartment has everything you could possibly need. The apartment is furnished to a very good standard and has English SKY TV (Take your sky card from home with you and you can enjoy everything but Sport and Movies) and the Kitchen is fully equipped for every need. Moving outside the terrace is huge with awesome afternoon sun and a hot tub in the shade to offer some relaxation. All in all Perfect and I will be returning again soon !

We stayed at Lidia Gardens for 1 week and really loved the apartment. It is very light and airy with plenty of room for 4. We especially enjoyed the hot tub sipping sangria and watching the beautiful sunsets. The location is a little out of the way so would recommend car hire to visit shops and local bars and beaches. We visited the capobino beach on several occassions and you could easily be sitting on a beach in the caribbean. Pool on the apartment ground is small but adequate and an ideal sun bathing spot in the afternoon.
Arrangements were made very easily and supplier very helpful and friendly. We would not hesitate in recommending this to others and will hopefully return again one day!!

Overall a fantastic, realxing week - Thanks again Nicky!

Sun, sea and spa!

Before we went to Lidia Gardens, Nicky had told us that there was still some building development in the area which frankly caused us a bit of concern as we certainly didn't want a lot of construction noise, dirt and disruption. But we needn't have worried, the building work wasn't close, lay to the side and rear of the apartment and certainly didn't affect our peace at any time either indoors or on the sunny and spacious terraces. The panoramic view of the sea was uninterrupted and stunning. We thought it was a great spot with the excellent facilities of the friendly local tennis club readily available and as much golf as the most enthusiastic golfer could want to enjoy. The local Cabopino course proved a particular challenge! And all this so close to the great beaches too, just a short drive away. Thank you. We really enjoyed our stay.
