La Cheminee is an authentic stone cottage in the rural hamlet of La Carreyrie and just 30 minutes away from Rodez Airport. It is delightfully finished to provide comfortable accommodation and is equipped to a high standard. It consists of a large lounge with TV for watching DVDs. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob and fridge. In the cellar there is a washing machine and freezer. Located on the first floor next to the lounge is a large en-suite bedroom with shower. On the second floor is a further bathroom with French bath, toilet and basin. This is approached via open tread stairs. For hot summer days and evenings it offers a private garden in which to relax and dine whilst overlooking rolling countryside.

La Carreyrie is a delightful hamlet consisting of a handful of properties. Our neighbours are farmers and are very accommodating and helpful. In nearby Rignac or Montbazens you find adequate shops for provisions and local bars. The historical bastide town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue is within 20 minutes and has a fantastic market on a Thursday. Also within 30 minutes from the cottage is the capital of the Aveyron, Rodez with its beautiful cathedral and host of shops. There is a lake about 1 mile away with fishing available and paddle boats for hire. There is a swimming pool in nearby Aubin, a mining museum and ancient fort. This area of France enjoys excellent weather with long lazy summers and short crisp winters.

  • Saturday is the general changeover day for this property. However, special arrangements for other days will be considered if availability allows. The property is available from 16.00 on day of arrival and guests are required to leave on day of departure by 10.00 a.m.
  • A 10% deposit on booking is required and the full amount is required 6 weeks before the start of the letting period. A security deposit of £100.00 will also be requested on booking to cover any damages or breakages. This will be refunded when the keys are returned.
