Villa 'Maresol' is situated in a little town, near the coast in the region 'Versilia', Viareggio and his wide sandy beaches, a multitude of shopping and dining is at 15mn.Viareggio lies less than half-an-hour west of the provincial capital, Lucca. A small but wealthy city with excellent facilities, Lucca is notable for its monumental city walls and several important churches and towers. There are also excellent transport links to Florence, Siena and the vineyards of Chianti and southern Tuscany. Pisa, also less than half-an-hour away, has the nearest international airport and a range of attractions including excellent facilities, restaurants and sites of historical importance. It is well worth a detour for the Leaning Tower alone. Florence and 'Renaissance art is easy to reach, too , at 70mins.
