Falkland is a historic conservation village situated in the Howe of Fife. Winner of Britain in Bloom and best Kept Small Village, it is a wash with wonderful old architecture boasting no less than 28 listed buildings including the beautiful Falkland Palace. The village itself offers a variety of places to eat and visit all within walking of the cottage. This includes traditional pubs, contemporary restaurants, coffee shops, craft shops and art galleries. It also has a general store and superb bakers just in case you get bored of eating out. For those of you who enjoy walking the village has numerous walks ranging from a Sunday stroll to routes that satisfy the more experienced walker. A must for all is a trek up the breathtaking Gorge!
