Spacious gite, situated in beautiful countryside but close to very good amenities etc. Same price all year round and long and short term stays available. Log fire, wood burning stove. Rental is inclusive of electricity, fuel and bedding. 30 mins from nearest beach. Paris 2 hours approx. The Somme Estuary 45 mins. Le Touquet, Bolougne, St Omer and Calis all within 35/45 mins. Lots of very good golf courses, walking, cycling.

Nearby are beautiful sandy beaches at Le Touquet and Hardelot with great restaurants. Several very good golf courses. Chocolate factory at Beussent. Markets in many towns and villages on every day of the week. Lots of local interest and WW1/2 history, The Somme, also superb bird sanctuary in this area also. Agincourt nearby, pleasure parks for children. Beautiful countryside for walking.

Notes: The house has electric heaters in all rooms, an open fire in the downstairs sitting room and a wood burning stove in the kitchen. There are TVs in both sitting rooms. Also a separate toilet downstairs as well as in the bathroom. There is a Boule track on the green outside the front of the house and during the summer the Mayor leads a group of local ramblers around the coutryside from outside the Marie opposite on a Friday night at about 7.30pm.

This property is new on the rental market and has recently been added to with an upstairs sitting room, 2 bedrooms and shower room. It is available all year round, with flexibility of times to rent, short and long term, weekend stays upon request. Letting a property is not an exact science and we have found the costs to be higher than expected. We have therefore increased our rates from 1st September 2009 through to September 2010 when we will review them again. We feel that at the peak of demand that a well presented Gite that sleeps 8 people is not overpriced at £525 per week. So enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room and very comfortable, well equiped gite. Two bathrooms worked very well with our two families and two lounges worked well to give us space from the kids! Kids loved the Sky TV, adults loved the countryside etc. Great walks and cycling nearby (if a little hilly for some of us!). Enjoyed visiting the nearby villages and towns as well as the sandy beaches within 30 mins. Flexible dates meant that it wasn't a rush to get there and we enjoyed a 10 day break. Wondered if driving would be a bit daunting but the roads were so quiet so it really wasn't an issue. Having returned we've not stopped talking about the great time we had!

The booking process was seamless and the help that Steph and Nick gave was great in terms of info before we went albeit a sat nav would have made finding the gite easier! The gite had planty of leaflets and tourist guides in both French and English so we had a real variety of days out as well as enjoying the large garden and boule pitch close by. Whilst holidays are often about getting away from the phone, we all had good reception for our networks.

Very peaceful and tranquil. A definate house to relax and get away from it all in. Very pituresque location, with friendly neighbours. Loved the nearest beach Hardelot Plage and the very cheap wine!! The house was very comfortable and definatley good value for money!

We enjoyed our weeks stay this year. Very homely and comfortable house, with large garden. Excellent value for money. Boules pitch on small village green in front of house. Very well equippted with puzzles, games, books and sky TV. Only downside staircase is very steep. Would recommend to a friend. Excellent help from owners english contact in the village, when one of our party needed to see a doctor. Excellent sandy beaches about 30 mins away.
