Spacious modernised apartment (80 sq m/862 sq ft) 5 mins from Picasso Museum and next to the traditional Marché des Enfants Rouges, walking distance to Pompidou Center, close to metros, buses. Lots of cafés, restaurants, shops and galleries. Very quiet street but food shops, cafés etc. around the corner. 2nd floor (3rd American floor) no elevator, but easy walk-up. The apartment has large living room (430 sq ft) with sofa bed, grand piano, dining table for 8, main bedroom with en suite bathroom (large shower, tub, WC, 2 washbasins). 2nd bedroom with desk + cupboard, the sleeping area is up an easy step-ladder on a 'mezzanine'/loft, where you can't stand up - not suitable for small children. 2nd toilet/shower room. Big fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave), flat-screen TV, DVD, Wireless internet access, mobile air conditioner, phone, baby cot if required No pets, no smokers. Location: .3rd Le Marais in France

The apartment is in a quiet street just south of the rue de Bretagne, which is full of lively cafés and bars, food shops and the Marché des Enfants Rouges, with its food stalls, 'traiteurs' and cafés. It is also 5 minutes by foot from the Picasso Museum and within walking distance of the Centre Pompidou. There are also lots of art galleries both in our street and the adjacent streets (Emmanuel Perrotin,Yvon Lambert, Thaddeus Ropac, Karsten Greve etc). If you're looking for clothes shops, they include Isabel Marant, Maje, Shine, Antik Batik, and many many more. Also within walking distance are the Place des Vosges and the Place de la Bastille.

Description of the apartment: The apartment is on the 2nd floor (American 3rd floor), without elevator, of a 17th century building in a very quiet street. It was renovated by an architect in 2007, has wood floors, high ceilings (3m50) and painted beams. The furniture is a mixture of old and modern - the dining table is metal and wood, the armchairs are leather 'club' chairs. There are large modern steel sliding doors which can close off the kitchen. All the windows are double glazed. We also have a mobile air conditioner for really hot summers + fans. The sizes of the rooms are approximately: living room: 40 sq m, bedroom 1: 13 sq m, bedroom 2: 7 sq m + mezzanine, kitchen: 9 sq m, bathroom 1: 8 sq m. Bedroom 1 has a bathroom with a large shower, bath, two washbasins and a WC. Bedroom 2 usually uses the entrance hall shower room with shower, washbasin and WC. The apartment faces South-East/North-West - the living room and one bedroom being on the street, and the kitchen and other bedroom on the courtyard

The apartment was wonderful: beautifully decorated and very cosy and comfortable. The apartment is spacious and is located in an excellent area. The owners provide a very useful guide to local stores and eateries. Terri and Jean-Pierre were very helpful with making arrangements by email and made us feel most welcome when we arrived in Paris. Thank you: we hope to return.

My family of 6 stayed in this wonderful apartment in Paris in July and we all had the most amazing time. The photos do not do the apartment justice at all, it is full of light, decorated gorgeously, and located in my favourite area of Paris, the Marais. The apartment is renovated to a very high standard, everything you could possibly need in terms of mod cons is there. The bedrooms are comfortable, there is plenty of space in the living area which made it enjoyable for our family to lounge around in the morning with a croissant or in the evening with a glass of wine! The owner Terri was lovely and I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to live like a true Parisian on their stay!!

Fabulous Apartment in Paris

This apartment is a great place to stay in Paris. Comfortable, lovely ambience and very central. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time, exploring the area around the apartment, shopped at the Enfants Rouge market and relaxed in this heaven after a day of exploring the city. The apartment is located in a quiet street, near lots of cafes and supermarkets, in very easy walking distance to 2 metro stations and bus. The furnishings and kitchen are first class, a true home away from home! We could not have rented a better apartment and I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place with great ambience that is centrally located. The owners are charming and most helpful. Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely place.

Beautiful apartment in Marais District

We were delighted to get the apartment at very late notice, and the owners could not have been more accommodating or welcoming. The apartment more than lived up to its description and photographs on the website. Beautifully designed, respecting all the original features, and exquisitely furnished, it was also spotless and contained all the modern amenities you would expect. The apartment is reached through a very pretty open courtyard with a winding wooden staircase; once inside beautiful old shuttered windows look back down onto the quiet street: it was very peaceful and a real haven of calm after a day’s site seeing or evening out.
The location was perfect, in the heart of the Marais district, surrounded by chic Parisian boutiques, galleries, and restaurants, and, just as the description says, within easy walking distance of the Picasso museum, and the Pompidou Centre. More practically there are local amenities close by (a good local supermarket, bakers, and so on). There are also some lovely local bars and cafes, within minutes of the apartment, if you are feeling lazy, or want to experience where the chic locals go, away from the tourists; here the recommendations given to us by the owners turned out to be perfect.
All in all a wonderful time, in a beautiful place, we would thoroughly recommend it, and hope to return in the future.

Hard to fault

A wonderful holiday apartment. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished, this apartment felt very Parisian. The location is ideal too, with great food shops, restaurants and a playground/park just around the corner, and the Metro an easy walk away. We stayed with our toddler and baby and the owners couldn't have been more helpful in making sure they were comfortable too. We hope to return someday. Highly recommended.
