Cyprus has about 340 days of sunshine during the year. Beaches are a mixture of sand and pebble and the sea is clear blue and warm. Cyprus is full of history with Paphos exhibiting the Tomb of the Kings. Paphos and the Paphos district is known as the birthplace of Aphrodite and many popular attraction surround this.
Polis is ideally located for walking, cycling, watersports and Golf. The Akamas peninsula is a popular area for exploration and offers a good escape for nature lovers. Cypriot locals are very friendly and will make you feel welcome. They are interested in you and your family and are keen to share their own family details with you. Local Tavernas offer good food and wine at reasonable prices. During the summer months Polis holds festivals of music, dance and singing, where tourists can meet locals and experience Cypriot life.
How to get there:
Paphos International Airport is approx 40kms away and is served by most airlines from the UK.
Car Hire is strongly recommended if you want to explore the area, but is not essential. Contact can be made with a local car hire company, on your behalf, if you require car hire, and a car can be left at the airport for you. Airport pick can be arranged on request.
If you are not hiring a car, you will need a taxi from the airport, but this can be arranged for you in advance. The journey will take approx. 45mins.
