The stately front door - reminiscent of a bygone era - hints at the famous visitors that the house has already entertained including Queen Mary and Winston Churchill who both thought of the house as the perfect weekend retreat. Notes: From the entrance hall you can glimpse the classically elegant dining room, the absolutely stunning Salon and the grand staircase hall with its mahogany paneling and stained glass windows and you will be swept off your feet in seconds. Moving into the kitchen you are faced with an altogether more modern view – a luxury well equipped kitchen and glass atrium breakfast room – however the owners have cleverly retained the country house feel by making a feature of an old well and including a beautiful cream range cooker. The breakfast room opens through huge glass doors into a large family room – graced with another stunning fireplace, this room also has a large west facing window seat – equally appropriate for quiet reading and fantastic parties. Just to top off that sense of being in a Victorian gentleman’s perfectly formed country estate there is even a pretty little garden room – just right for those early morning letters or tea in peace.

The most AMAZING weekend of my life

Myself and 13 friends stayed at the house last weekend for my Hen do. It is the most amazing house - bigger and better than the pictures suggest and a real home from home.

I felt like I had been transported into a fairytale - or a National Trust property.

The gardens are amazing (make sure you explore) the pool is as warm as a bath tub, the bedrooms are decorated beautifully and the cinema room is a real treat. Plus the beds are SOOOO comfy!

I honestly get such a happy feeling when i think back to how wonderful our stay at this house was and the owners made us feel really welcome with a hamper and a Congratulations card and gift in my room! Thanks Cazz!

I lost count as to how many rooms the house actually has, but the spacious and grand nature of the property certainly makes you feel like you are staying in your own country estate - with AMAZING views!

I have already told my Husband 2B that I want to go back - perhaps next year with the boys for a summer celebration.

If you want a truly memorable experience, in a beautiful and historic yet up-to date and stylish property - rent this place. My own reservation is that I am sharing this information with you - as I want to book the house for every weekend of my life!

What a wonderful weekend!

A group of 16 of us stayed at the house this July for a hen weekend. Despite the wet weather, we had a glorious time and made the most of spending a weekend in a stunning home. The photos just don't do it justice - there was so much space and light and the house has everything you would need.

Cazz, the owner, was so friendly and helpful and the hamper on arrival - full of local produce - was a wonderful touch!

As we wanted a pamper weekend, Cazz also arranged for two beauticians to be available to provide treatments for us...the hot stones massage was divine.

Thoroughly memorable weekend and a wonderful weekend retreat. My London flat now seems extremely small in comparison!

Beautiful place and grounds. The amenities are fabulous - it really is a stunning place to stay. Welcome hamper and fluffy white robes made it feel like a hotel we had all to ourselves. Only slight flaws were that the pool was having maintenance and hadn't been quite finished off, though we could still use it and the early check out on the Sunday. Otherwise an all-round fantastic stay!

A great 2 days away

A group of 10 of us spent 2 days in this wonderful house. The host Cazz was very friendly, accommodating & helpful and exceeded our expectations (thank you Cazz).
The location is perfect for relaxing and chilling out, the rooms are very spacious,airy,clean & to a good standard and was fun exploring the house and gardens.
We will be visiting again (only for longer next time)
