Fishery Cottages sit on the banks of the River Drowes, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Salmon swim by the self -catering holiday cottages on their way to their traditional spawning grounds. Dolphins regularly play in the surf in front of the cottages and mix with the surfers who enjoy some of the best surf in Europe. The seaside town of Bundoran, with holiday attractions such as 'Waterworld' and the hot sea-weed baths, golf, ten-pin bowling, cinema, restaurants and bars, charter-boat fishing, horse riding, boat trips, beaches etc. is only 1 kilometre away. The blue-flag beaches of Mullaghmore, Bundoran, and Rossnowlagh are nearby. Sligo and Donegal towns are both within a 30-minute drive. 'Yeats' Country', ancient Irish archaeological sites and Donegal Castle are all only a short distance away. Notes: We regularly cater for elderly guests but there is a staircase to the upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs toilet ensures that all daily living requirements are catered for on the ground floor. Railings protect children from danger at the riverbank. Guests are provided with the combination to open gates leading to the riverbank where they can bring their children and supervise their safety. There is a small common grassy area as well as a private patio area for your private use. Car parking is provide right next to your cottage.

Here are just a few: Bundoran, 1km, 18 hole links course Donegal or sometimes called Murvagh, 15km, Huge 18 hole links course. Rosses Point, 30kms, 18 hole links course. CastleHume near Enniskillen, 45 kms, 18 hole country course on the lakes of Fermanagh. Portnoo or Narin, 1 hour drive, 18 hole links course. Enniscrone, 1 hour drive, 18 hole links course.

Surfing Locally: Bundoran is surrounded by great surfing beaches and reefs. These include the famous 'Peak' in Bundoran where both the European Surfing Championships have been held and also the Quiksilver World Masters Contest. There are 8 surfing breaks in walking distance of Fishery Cottages, the closest being right out front.

Walking Locally: Enjoy walking the beaches of Mullaghmore, Rossnowlagh or the cliff walk around Bundoran and Tullan strand. You can leave the cottages and walk along the shoreline for 10km, following a pathway to the town, walking along the beach of Bundoran, over the cliff walk around the golf course and on to a 3 km beach walk at Tullan strand. Then you can turn around and come home! Lots of country walks too including the hills of the 'Horse-shoe' Drive, Castlecoole forest park, the Knather wood and much more.
