Casa da Oliveira - 'The House of Olive Trees' is in the historic village of Sao Lourenco in a sheltered, peaceful yet not isolated setting with country & mountain views. Through double gates is the cobbled drive with garage & parking for several cars. The pretty walled garden has night lighting, shrubs & lawns for children of all ages to use! There is plenty of shade under the bouganvilla-clad terraces or on the hammock swinging gently under the large carob tree - glass in hand of course!! The HEATED 12m long tiled pool has Roman steps at one end & can have erected a POOL FENCE to enhance safety for toddlers. Inside Casa da Oliveira is the spacious lounge/dining room with everything to keep young and old from getting bored - & for Winter warmth a wonderful log fire - logs supplied! From an inner lobby is double bedroom 2 & ensuite with both bath & shower cabinet. Also off the hall is the cloakroom & the kitchen equipped with everything that is needed in a home rather than holidays.

Lively Almancil is less than 5 mins drive away. It has a wide range of shops - supermarket, several banks, boutiques, 2 bakeries (with bread and pastries to die for!) & numerous cafes, bars & restaurants of all types & prices. However for those wanting more within 15 mins there are many beaches & the world famous nature reserve 'Ria Formosa'. Also numerous sports facilities -13 golf courses, 2 waterparks, tennis, horse riding & more! Nearby is the regional capital, Loule, with its lovely old buildings in cobbled streets, a huge market & many boutiques & restaurants. To the West are the beautiful Monchique mountains with the spa of Caldas de Monchique, Silves with its majestic castle, Sagres, Cape Vincent, the Western Atlantic coast & Lisbon. East of Faro is ancient and unspoilt Tavira & a little further on is the beautiful & massive Guadiana river which forms the frontier with Spain. Cross the river by the new motorway bridge to visit Seville less than 2 hours further.

  • Specials:

    Low season 4 nights short breaks:
    During low season (Christmas & New Year excluded) we offer 4 night short breaks for £325 plus £60 per extra night. These can be taken to cover any days of the week.

    Extra charges:
    Pool heating £100 per week for extra electricity required. Portable pool fence £25 one-off charge for erecting & dismantling.

    All prices include electricity within the villa, maid service x 2 per week (excl short breaks), all linen & towels (excl beach towels), cot with bedding, 2 x high chairs, pushchair, car booster seat and starter pack of groceries, hot & cold beverages, beer & wine.
  • Although rates are calculated in British Pounds we can accept payment in Euros or US Dollars by direct transfer to accounts in Portugal and the USA.
  • Once a period is reserved a deposit of 25% of the agreed rental is required within 5 working days to change the reservation to a booking. During the 5 days the villa will not be offered elsewhere.
    6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday the balance becomes due along with a security deposit of £250.00. This deposit will be returned in full, unless there is a need for deductions such as breakages, damages, etc., 14 days after the end of the holiday.
    Any holidays reserved within 8 weeks of their start date are due in full immediately, including the security deposit.

  • The two ensuite bathrooms are off internal hallways that serve the Master and 2nd bedrooms. This means that if necessary they can be accessed by any of the villa guests without the need to enter the bedrooms. This makes living at Casa da Oliveira for larger parties easy! Bathroom 2 & the cloakroom while bathrooms 1 & 3 are on the first floor. The safe is in the cloakroom.

  • Bedroom 2 -On the ground floor is an inner hall off which is bedroom 2 & ensuite. The bed is super king sized, there are built in cupboards, heating and air-conditioning. Master bedroom - Up wide stairs is the landing. Off it is an inner hall which leads to the Master bedroom, dressing room with built in cupboards & dressing table & private balcony overlooking the garden & pool. The double king bed can be split into 2 x single if required. There is heating & air conditioning. Bedroom 3 - off the landing with 2 x large single beds. Heating & air-conditioning. Bedroom 4 - Pair of bunk beds, a full sized single bed & private balcony. A portable single bed is under the bunks. Heating & air-conditioning.

Notes: The kitchen is very fully equipped indeed with much more than a normal rental property. We use it as a second home so it has numerous amounts of crockery, cutlery, mugs, glasses so guests are not continually having to wash up to have another cup of coffee! In winter logs are supplied free of charge to guests for the wonderful log fire in the lounge. For children there is a cot with bedding, 2 x highchairs, a pushchair & a car booster seat. Maid service is 2 x per week, but can be extra by request. Towels supplied exclude beach towels. Special for toddlers is THE POOL FENCE. This is erected on request to enhance safety for the youngest in the party. Although wheelchair accessible is not ticked it is easy to enter the villa in a wheelchair through the double doors. It is all on one level round the house to these doors. Visitors will find that everything possible has been done to Casa da Oliveira to ensure a relaxed & happy stay.
