The sun seems to always shine at our trulli in Puglia. So, when you've finished relaxing in the sunshine by the pool, why not visit some of the most spectacular caves in Italy at Castellana Grotte or experience the historic town of Alberobello with its many trulli. Sample the bars and restaurants in both local towns in the evening, where you can enjoy the Italian cuisine and wine, join the locals in promenading (passeggiata) late into the night. We often visit the food and clothes markets in Alberobello, Castellana Grotte and Locorotondo. As Rick Stein says there is nothing we have in the UK that compares to this way of buying fresh local produce. We also enjoy lunch in the old town of Monopoly
Other places to visit include Ostuni, Lecce, Bari and Brindindsi.
We particularly like Polignano a Mare, its shops, market and restaurants are a must .in addition to lunch at local fishing villages, overlooking the sea and bathing on the beaches of the Adriatic coast.
