One of four contemporary designed chalets built using traditional materials, nestled in a charming hamlet at the base of the Grand Montets nursery slope. More pictures are available on the website (see details below). The stations of Chamonix are on your doorstep and Verbier and Courmayeur are around 45 minutes away. This is a 150m2 brand new (20/12/2008) 4 star 4 bedroom self catering Chalet in Argentiere (sleeps 10). It is walking distance from the Grand Montet Ski lift and it is possible to ski in to the chalet - it is also possible to almost ski to the Grand Montet Ski Lift. Two bedrooms are en-suite and one of the others is a 4-bed bunk room - ideal for children. All berooms have the benefit of balconies/terrace. The living/dining area is finished to a very high standard with underfloor heating which is open plan with a natural fire place, and a flat screen TV with satellite TV. WiFi internet access is included. Self catered with catering option.

The chalet is ski-in, ski-out in Argentiere from the Grands Montets lift station. There is a beginner's piste next to the chalet. It is very near Chamonix and with easy access to Geneva and the Swiss resort of Verbier as well as the Italian resort of Courmayeur.

Notes: We have a young family and have outfitted the chalet to ensure that our children (all under 10 yrs) have something to do when they come here, if they are not out skiing. There is a Wii and a number of Wii games.

Ski Details: There is a wide variety of skiing very near the chalet and accessible by either car, bus or train. The beginner's slope is brilliant for small families or beginning skiers, as it is so close to the chalet and can be seen from the balcony and garden. The chalet is practically ski out, with a small walk up a small hill (20m) along the cross country ski trail and is ski in along the same trail from the main piste right to the door. The skiing is great! Les Grand Montets has some of the most extreme skiing and is right next to the chalet; Le Tour is in the sun all day and a great family resort and 5-10 mins away by car - although it is advisable to go to the chair lift at Vallorcine for better and quicker access to Le Tour. The bus leaves from the main road near the chalet.

Ski: The chalet is ski-in ski-out from the nursery slopes in Les Chosalets, Argentiere and is a short walk from the Grand Montets ski lift in Argentiere and you can ski back to the chalet from these slopes. The Panda club for children aged 3 to 12 years is at the bottom of the slopes.

We stayed, with friends, in this chalet over the new year week.
Having rented many chalets, all over the alps, we were stunned with the space and standard of the accomadation.
Our walk in wardrobe would have been a bedroom in your average chalet!
Its location, right by the nursery slope, was perfect. The children could sledge safely within view of the chalet and you can ski back to the door.
We would definately return as I think this high standard of chalet would be hard to beat.
