"We stayed in Oobai in December 2008 on route to the Kariega geme reserve East of Port Elizabeth, and chose this Luxury apartment overlooking the majestic golf course. Looking back, I wish we had stayed for longer because the price cannot be beat. Our apartment was clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated with plenty of space for all. The view of the golf course from the balcony/room was breathtaking. Most of all, Hugh's kindness and useful information from back in the U.K. was outstanding - something you don't find often. He gave us some great advice about what to do, where to go, etc. Within 10 mins drive is a fantastic local restaurant called Duttons Cove that provides a great welcome and the best Ribs and steaks i've seen in a long time!! with fantastic Ocean views. There was live music and the staff were very freindly and attentive. As for the Golf the course it's magnificent. During our stay in South africa my son and i played 4-5 courses ranging from Stellenbosch to Cape town to Port Elizabeth and this one beats the lot. (No wonder Ernie Els rates it as one of his 5 best in the world).
In summary a great place to stay with good parking, very quiet, safe, pretty, resonably priced and great Golf.
