Scheffau is a charming,traditional village nestling at the foot of the impressive Wilder Kaiser mountains in the heart of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser ski region. It is the perfect base for skiers with 250km of pistes, over 90 cable cars and lifts and tyrolean hospitality in over 70 huts and restaurants. There is also plenty of apres ski/nightlife in the neighbouring villages of Soll and Elmau. For non skiiers there is a 10 km cross country track, winter walks, sleigh rides, natural toboggan runs, music and numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. Shoppers will enjoy the traditional market town of St Johann, the fortified town of Kufstein and the exclusive resort of Kitzbuhel, all a short bus ride away.
In the summer you can relax in the mountains or at beautiful Lake Hintersteinersee or participate in many activities eg golf, cycling, walking, horse riding, white water rafting. There are also fantastic water parks locally and themed children's play areas at the top of the mountains.
