Set in manicured gardens this is an apartment for those who enjoy their comforts while having a peaceful holiday.The complex is small so the large pool area never feels crowded and children can have fun in the paddling pool.The apartment is fully air conditioned ,has 2 large bedrooms and is furnished in a contemporary style to compliment the cream marble/oak flooring. One of the bedrooms is en suite with a walk in rainmaker shower, toilet, and sink with vanity unit.The other bedroom has use of the large bathroom,with a jacuzzi bath, shower,toilet bidet and sink with vanity unit.Both bedrooms have orthopedic zip and link beds which can be configured as king size or singles depending on your needs and an extra z bed is available which can be put up in either bedroom or the living room. The small garden at the front has table and chairs and leads into the communal gardens. It is perfect for summer holidays with friends or family.

Located just a 10min walk from the beautiful town of Tavira which is situated in the heart of the Ria Formosa nature reserve a haven for bird watchers and beach lovers.Tavira town is a gem waiting to be explored,over 30 churches and a castle to discover. Take the mini train to see the highlights then explore the narrow cobbled streets and tree lined river banks in your own time taking a break at a pavement cafe to watch the world go by.There are dozens of bars and restaurants to choose from and free live entertainment in the town square in high season. There are lots of beaches to discover by boat, by train and by car. A highlight is the ferry ride down the river and over to the Ila de Tavira where the pristine blue flag beach stretches for 18km-just walk a few minutes down the beach for your own private piece of paradise. Tavira town is very family friendly and at night you will see family groups out enjoying themselves.Quick access to the A22 makes visiting the West Algarve easy.

  • Prices are for the property per week and include end of stay cleaning.Long term winter rate is available for bookings of 4 weeks or more.This rate is €950 per month and includes utilities but not cleaning or laundry which can be arranged at an extra cost.
  • A non refundable deposit of 30% is payable at the time of booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before arrival.
  • A refundable damage deposit of 200 euros is payable to our agent on arrival and will be refunded before you leave on inspection of the property.

  • Both of the bedrooms have polished oak floors.There are bedside tables and lamps and luxurious headboards for comfortable reading. The beds have orthopedic mattresses and are zip and link so can be configured as a king or 2 singles.Both beds have luxurious throws and cushions.There are two built in wardrobes in each room including drawer space.There are large mirrors and the Master bedroom has a wall safe.Sliding doors lead from the bedrooms to a narrow balcony which can be shaded with a manual awning-there is a small table and chairs to enjoy a cup of coffee or a sun downer.Both bedrooms have remote controlled air conditioning units.The bed linen and pillows are high quality and there are extra pillows available.There are electric shutters on the windows which can be lowered to darken the bedrooms. The extra bed available is a fold up bed 90x180cms probably best suite to children/teenagers, it can be placed in either bedroom.

Notes: The apartment is all on one level but to access it you must climb 8 steps in the garden of the complex therefore may not be suitable for some elderly people who have difficulty with steps. We don't mind smokers renting providing they smoke outside on the balcony ,in the garden or in the inner courtyard, there is an ashtray provided. The inner courtyard has a table and chairs and is a peaceful area to have a meal or escape from the heat of the day and have a quiet read. There is a gas fired BBQ in the courtyard to cook your favourite fish or steak. The living room is furnished with 2 leather sofas and has an entertainment unit with flat screen TV, DVD player,CD player and ipod docking.There is SKY satellite TV with all the free to air channels see our website for a full list.There are comfortable cushions and lamps to add to your relaxation. The kitchen is very large and well equipped-it has everything you will need to whip up a Nigella recipe if you want to have a night in!

FAMILY ACTIVITIES: When you have tired of the pool and the beach there are many other exciting outings for all the family to take in and around Tavira. WATERPARKS: there are lots to choose from driving ,along the A22 within 20-30 mins you can visit Slide and Splash, Aquashow or The Big One all guaranteeing a great day out for big and small kids! ZOO MARINE: this is a great day out-dolphin,seal and parrot shows, lots of rides all included in the admission price and swimming pools to cool off in. ISLA MAGICA: this theme park is in Seville and is definitely worth the 1hr 30min journey to get there. Eight different lands to explore with fantastic water rides and roller coasters-opens at 1100 in summer closing at 11pm after a spectacular show with fireworks. RIVER GUADIANA: fabulous boat trips up the river with swimming stops. SURF:Kite surf on Isla Canela beach 5 mins from Ayamonte in Spain. STAR GAZING: there is an observatory 7km from Tavira which holds family nights for budding astronomers.

BIRD WATCHING: Many people com to the Eastern Algarve to bird watch as the Ria Formosa is the most important birding site in the Algarve. Covering 60km it comprises large areas of dunes,lagoons,channels and islands, salt pans pools and river mouths. The diversity of habitat in the area means that you can spot up to 50 species of bird in a morning from Greater Flamingoes to Eurasian spoonbills to Crested Coots. It is and area of great importance for a wide range of breeding,passage and wintering birds hence it is a haven for the ornithologist. Families will enjoy visiting the Ria Formosa Park which has a visitors centre situated at Quinta da Marim close to Olhao.Here there is a 3km nature trail which takes you right through the heart of the Ria Formosa from the salt marshes and Roman ruins to a traditional villa built by local poet Joao Lucio. The park has a breeding program for the native Portuguese water dogs and visitors can stroke the dogs at the kennels and talk to the handlers.

GOLF: With a round of golf costing 30% less in the Eastern Algarve, and with 7 courses to choose from within a 20km radius of the apartment you will be spoiled for choice. BENAMOR 4km away(5495m par 71) ranked in the top 10 courses in Europe with great sea views. QUINTA DE RIA 7km away (6110m par 72) an 18 hole golf course in the Ria Formosa natural park-it has been described by golfers as the most breathtaking in the region.

We had a super holiday in this beautiful apartment. Everything was very clean, well maintained and new. The apartment had everything that you would need - large, well equipped kitchen, cool courtyard area with gas barbecue, very comfortable seating area with large flat screen tv, sky and Ipod dock, dining area with large table, stylish master bedroom with generous en-suite, large second bedroom and well fitted bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. We have never stayed anywhere that was so stylishly decorated and well equipped.

The small outdoor seating area at the front of the apartment gets the morning sun - ideal for breakfast. The balcony off the bedrooms at the rear of the property gets the evening sun - ideal for gin and tonic!

The complex is very well maintained with a large pool and lots of sun beds - in our experience this was always quite quiet. There is also a grass area in front the apartment where you can relax.

Tavria town is about a 10 minute walk away down some steps. This is a pretty and totally unspoilt town with lots of restaurants. From here you can get a ferry to the Ilha de Tavira which has huge sandy beaches.

We found it useful to have a car for supermarket shopping and for exploring - we had a nice day at the 'Pego de Inferno' a pretty waterfall and natural pool area which you can swim in. We also visited the go-kart track near Faro which our son really enjoyed.

Right from the start, Helen was very helpful and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble. The managing agents were also very good. We will definitely be recommending this apartment to our friends and family.

Beautiful Apartment

We are a family of five, two adults and three children aged between 10 and 16 and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this beautiful apartment. We travelled from Ireland to Seville, hired a car in Seville and drove to Tavira, a journey which took us approx 1 hour 40 mins. We had no difficulty finding the apartment as the directions we had been given were perfect.

The apartment is very conveniently located, within walking distance of the Roman Bridge and the centre of Tavira. It is spotlessly clean, and is furnished and maintained to a very high standard. The kitchen has absolutely everything your need and more. Bedrooms have plenty of storage space and the Sitting room is tastefully furnished with satellite tv (bring your own sky card), DVD player and DVDs, board games books etc.

The owners have a folder in the apartment with information on just about anything you need to know, - from recommended restaurants, to location of doctors surgery, to where to find instructions on operating the washing machine, dishwasher etc. We referred to this folder on a daily basis and found it excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this fab apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.
We would recommend having a car. It is approx 5 minute drive to the nearest supermarket.

There are some steps from the road up to the apartment and this may be something to be aware of if you have a baby/toddler or for someone with a disability.

Our favourite restaurant was Canto Azul in Santa Luzia, about a five minute drive from Tavira. The irish restaurant along the River Gilao was also very nice.

We had a fabulous time at this brand new modern apratment in a quiet development on the edge of town. The apartment is perfect for two couples or a small family and has all mod cons including BBQ, microwave, iron, satellite tv, dvd etc. The air con works quickly and the shuttered windows are great for getting that all important holiday sleep. The pool is very large and there are also two heated jacuzzi baths beside the pool.

Tavira is a lovely quaint local fishing village. Highly recommended as a spot to explore the eastern algarve and neighboring Spain. There are many options for day trips in the area and also lots of good quality golf courses. A car would be helpful for exploring the area although not needed if only staying in Tavira as the apartment is only 30 mins from Faro airport and 15 mins walk from the town centre of Tavira.

The aparment would not be ideal for older people or those with disabilites as there are many steps to climb up and down before reaching Tavira town from the apartment.

Highly recommended!

The apartment was the highest standard we have ever encountered when renting an apartment and had everything you could possiblly need. The apartment was immaculate and even contained a jacuzzi bath !
The kids unwinded watching the satellite channels after a long day at the beach or pool before heading into town for a fantastic fish dinner in one of the many excellent restaurants. We decided not to hire a car this time and the tranfer from Faro was less than 30 minutes using a taxi compant that met us at arrivals.
The location was perfect (a 5 minute safe walk to town). The daily boat trip to the beach was an adventure for the adults and children alike. Tavira is an unspoilt region of the Algarve and I hope it retains it's authenticity for a long time. I look forward to going back to this apartment next year

Nice place to stay

Me and my wife really enjoyed our week’s stay in this top class, brand new apartment. It contains everything you need; from a barbecue set to chess; all in excellent condition, nice and very clean. The owners have a great taste for style, so the atmosphere inside is great. But when you overcome the temptation to stay in for the whole day, the town, beach, and the people around will make these holidays special.
