Victorian cottage overlooking the beach on one side and a woodland conservation area on the other, and a short walk away from the pretty harbour town of Yarmouth. A gate at the bottom of the garden leads onto the coastal path and stunning sea views along the coastal path around the Isle of Wight. Very kid-friendly and safe environment, with plenty to do on the doorstep - including an aquarium, a planetarium, a underwater archaeology museum, a model railway, a fort, and of course the beach. The nearby harbour town of Yarmouth is very picturesque and pretty. A popular destination for sailing, an excellent base for a walking holiday, and good sea fishing location. Facilities in the house include an open fire, wireless internet (WI-Fi), washing machine, dishwasher, TV and DVD player and barbeque. Both the master bedroom and the sitting room have sea views. The twin bedroom has views over the surrounding woods. Well-behaved dogs welcome.

The cottage is situated about 1 mile from the picturesque harbour town of Yarmouth, in the Fort Victoria Country Park. The coastal path runs past the back of the property and onto Colwell Beach, Totland, the Needles and Freshwater, with many spots offering stunning views of the Solent. Tennyson Downs is also nearby, as is Afton Down, site of the world famous Isle of Wight Festival. A 10 minute drive takes you to Compton Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern England. Within a half hour drive is Osbourne House, the summer home of Queen Victoria; Cowes, where the annual regatta Cowes Week takes place, Robin Hill, home of the Bestival, and Blackgang Chine.

Waking up to the sounds and sight of the Solent was so relaxing. It's a stone's throw from the beautiful pebble beach (although you'd have to aim above the bunny rabbits on the lawn!).

Great location too - a lovely 25 minute walk along the coast to the lively old port of Yarmouth and easy access to the rest of the island. Classy, idyllic, charming. Can't recommend this place enough.

We had a wonderful stay and could not have asked more from our booking. The cottage is tastefully decorated inside and gives a warm, modern feel. It is furnished with everything you'll need and well maintained. The area is a quiet oasis next to a pebble and sand beach with good walks. We would certainly look to book again...THANKS!!

the perfect location

This cottage proved to be the ideal location for our family holiday. The beach was just at the bottom of the garden, the cottage was beautiful and extremely well furnished.

All the sights of the Isle of Wight were within easy reach, yet we could return to tranquility each night.

I wouldn't hesitate (and haven't!) to recommend this property to all my friends.

We had superb stay at this delightfull cottage, which was well equiped and very clean. The location and views are stuning. Very quite and un spoilt area. Great for walking , cycling or just relaxing. Would recommend to friends. Will be back soon.
