One of several lovely canal apartments available in the heart of Amsterdam, the Grand Sonnenberg is a gorgeous, historic canal house built in 1650 in the most picturesque locations close to all sites. Formerly the home of the Amsterdam Society for Historic reservation, it is located on the famous Herengracht Canal. A leisurely stroll will take you to Dam Square, many museums, and the popular Jordaan district with its many restaurants, shops, antiques and boutiques. The Grand Sonnenberg occupies the top three floors of the canal house and has three bedrooms with charming built-in cabinetry, one and a half baths and unique fireplace stove. With a double sleep sofa in large living area, it will sleep up to eight. The apartment below, the Royal Sonnenberg, sleeps up to six. It has a charming, beautifully-renovated kitchen with rare antiques and full amenities. A wonderful bay window overlooks the canal, and both apartments have lovely light and views and are beautifully decorated.
