So much better than a hotel...

The owners of this property went above and beyond what we would have expected anywhere. They were very friendly and tremendously helpful. The property is an oasis just outside of the city limits of Lucca and not far from Pisa. There is a nice pastry and ice cream shop located at the end of the block where you can also buy water and wines. The bus stops for Lucca and Pisa are both located by the pastry shop as well.
The apartments were nicely furnished and clean, the grounds absolutely beautiful, and the pool and internet were available to us when we wanted. We stayed in a two-two apartment with kitchenette that slept our group of five nicely but could easily accommodate six or seven if traveling with children.
The pool area was surrounded by mounding lavender and other flowering plants, and there was a beautiful rooftop patio with the beginnings of a grapevine roof that provided a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape.
I would definitely recommend this apartment as a spot for other travelers, especially families. One suggestion is to rent a car for ease of use travel back in forth to Lucca. Although the bus comes regularly throughout the day during the week it does have special schedules for weekends and not all bus stops in Lucca or Pisa come back to the stop near the apartment.
