Photos and Description of this Charente holiday cottage Self-catering house La Source with 3 bedrooms

Gite La Source is one of the four gites for 4 to 6 persons, at our beautiful manor house 'Les Mirandes'. It is the largest gite and suits 6 persons. It is attached an its interiour is cosy and warm. There is central heating and a big fireplace, which makes it also suitable for winter renting. It has a very well equiped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with shower and WC. The long fenced garden has a terrace and garden furniture. At Les Mirandes you will find space, hospitality and peace. You can enjoy the swimming pool with sunny terrace and deckchairs, the wine orchard and the absolutely magnificent view. There is a playground for children with trampoline, goals and jeu-de-boules. Guest can enjoy a meal on request at Les Mirandes. A 4-course meal, prepared with local products, will cost € 25,-- including wine.

Montmoreau lies in the middle of the Cognac region, with its sunny hills covered with sunflowers, vineyards and corn. In between you will find small lakes and rivers. Beautiful surroundings for walking, cycling, canoeing or just driving around in your car. Visit ond of the many Cognac-houses in Cognac or pay a visit to Bordeaux, Bergerac and St. Emilion, famous for its wines and within easy reach. Don't forget to try the local Pineau de Charente, a typical aperitif of the Charente region. The pretty village of Aubeterre, with its magnificant underground church, is surely worth a visit, as well as Angouleme's pretty shopping centre and pretty covered market. There are many local markets nearby where you can buy fresh local products and handmade goods. There are many beautiful castles to visit, like the one in La Rochefoucauld, Bourdeilles, Villebois-Lavalette and Chalais.
