Situated in the hills north of the walled city of Lucca, this beautiful restored farmhouse (2008) offers all that one expects from the Tuscan holiday experience. Quiet location, private pool, modern kitchen, satellite TV, central heating, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, lounge and a large patio area overlooking the pool. Located in an area of out-standing beauty, tree covered hills, views and with nature trails. The house is situated close to Celle di Puccini (3 km) where Puccini use to spend his holidays and to relax. Puccini's house is now a local museum. Within 2 km there are at least 3 very good restaurants. Local shops are within 5 km, within 12 km is a large supermarket. To the south is the famous walled city of Lucca, to the north is the national park of Apuans Alps and the Garfagnana valley known for its natural beauty and food.

To the south is the walled city of Lucca. This city was once the capital of Tuscany and offers a great deal in the way of sights, events and things to do. As car are limited inside the wall the best way to get around is either to walk or to hire a bike from one of the many bike rentals shops. The area is also famous for it's olive oil and wine production and the area is clearly marked and signed posted. The north lies the Apuan Mountain range which has a natural park which offers horse riding, fishing, walking and mountain climbing. To the west lies the beach area of the Versilia coast with towns like Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and Cinque Terre. To the east lies Florence, one and half hours drive or to Pisa in the south in an hour.
