This 18thC Loire Valley chateau sits in 40 acres of gardens, meadows and woodland, and is surrounded by 4,000 acres of unspoiled woods with an extensive network of paths for walking and riding. Guests can explore the grounds and enjoy a relaxing stroll through the woods. We even have deer from the forest that come up incredibly close to the chateau. The chateau has 6 luxury suites available to hire, all with en-suites. There is a terrace at each end of the chateau for catching the morning or afternoon sun. The chateau experience changes over the year with the seasons, allowing guests to enjoy a link with nature: the spring blooms of the bluebells and magnolias and the wild flowers in summer, followed by the stunning autumnal colours of the trees, ferns and heather and the crisp clear days of winter when snow covers the ground.

The chateau is perfectly located for visiting all of the Loire Valley historic chateaux. Blois with its beautiful Chateau and the Maison de la Magie is 15 minutes drive away through gorgeous national forests. The other famous Loire Valley historic chateaux like Chateau Chambord, Chateau Cheverney, Chateau Chenonceau, Chateau Beauregard, Chateau Amboise, Chateau Close Luc (Leonardo da Vinci's private chateau, park and museum), Chateau Villandry with its famous gardens, Chateau Azzay-le-Rideau, and Chateau Chaumont with its international summer garden festival, are all a 30 to 45 minute drive from the chateau. You can also visit many different vineyards to sample the acclaimed local wine. There are a handful of Michelin starred restaurants nearby and a huge choice of local french restaurants and bistros to try. The well-maintained and picture perfect town of Blois is well worth a visit, as are its boutiques. Herbault four minutes away has a little market on Monday mornings.

    Catering can be arranged on request to suit your budget. As a guide:
    - Breakfast for 15 euros per person.
    - Brunch from 34 euros per person.
    - Buffet from 28 euros per person.
    - Menus from 50 euros per person.
    - Champagne from 30 euros per bottle. Spirits from 50 euros per bottle.

    A daily maid service, or extra cleaning and babysitting can be arranged on request. As a guide, these services can be provided at 15 euros per hour.
  • Weddings: Wedding parties are most welcome at the chateau. We are happy to provide you with details of wedding planners, marquee hire, decorators, catering companies, florists, photographers, DJ/music, fireworks specialists, arrival by hot-air balloon or horse-drawn carriage, and local accommodation for excess guests etc. We will make every effort to meet any other special requests that you might have. Let us make your event perfect. The Grand Salon can cater for 50 people for a sit down reception. The interior of the chateau can cater for up to 250 guests for a champagne/cocktails and canapes reception. Alternatively, a marquee can be erected in the grounds of the chateau to cater for 250 guests for a sit down reception. The hire of the reception rooms and the grounds is included in the exclusive wedding hire of the chateau. Please note that there is an additional charge for providing wedding services.
  • - Security deposit: €1500. This is paid 10 weeks prior to arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
    - Linen & towels: All linen, bath towels & robes are included in the rental price.
    - Energy costs: Included in the rental price.
    - End of stay cleaning: Included. Please leave the property in the state that you found it.

These beds are incredibly comfortable, fitted with Egyptian cotton bed linen and down duvets, promising a peaceful night’s sleep. Micro-fibre duvets and pillows are available upon request if you are hyper-allergic. Each suite has a colour TV and DVD player and guests are invited to choose from more than 200 DVDs from our library free of charge. Each en-suite has a hair dryer. Luxurious robes and slippers are also provided. All suites have en suite bathrooms and ample storage room.

Notes: Library of 200+ DVDs The private chapel in the grounds close to the chateau is perfect for small wedding receptions. We have stables if guests want to bring their own horses. Horses can be turned out in the paddocks or stabled on a DIY livery basis. Guests can bring a horse or horses to the chateau property but at their own risk, and no liability whatsoever is accepted for any guest's horse brought on to the property. The chateau is set in the centre of 40 acres of paddocks, meadows, and forest. It is in the middle of a 4000 acre forest with an array of paths for walking, riding, and bicycling. We have a large barbeque and a 14 foot trampoline with a safety enclosure which is unsupervised, so accordingly to be used at guests own risk. We also have boules and badminton. Behind the chateau is a large open field perfect for football, rugby, volleyball, baseball etc. We have a four person infra-red sauna with inbuilt CD player for guests to unwind and relax.
