Celebrate a wedding, birthday, or family reunion at the Château and take home memories that will last a lifetime. The Château is ideally located to serve as your home away from home within easy reach of many natural resources as well as sports and cultural activities. Built in the 17thC, the main castle was enlarged during the 18thC to include two towers and was a private residence until 2005. It is located in 13 hectares of gardens, woodlands, and parks. Adjoining the property is the largest agricultural farm (70 hectares) in Burgundy. Along with the château, this farm was once part of the original estate and is known for its cheese. You have exclusive use of the pool, tennis court, petanque court and 8 hectares of woodland. Why not try your luck at the driving range? There are numerous other outdoor activities that you can try.

The beautiful property is situated within the triangle defined by Nevers, Moulins and Decize. Nevers and Decize are located in the department of Nièvre, in the region of Burgundy. Moulins is in the department of Allier in the region of Auvergne. Departments of Côte d'Or, Saône et Loire and Yonne are close by in the Burgundy region. In former days Burgundy was part of the powerful Duchy Burgundy and is now a region of art and 'plaisir de vivre'. The area is a combination of unsurpassed scenic beauty and historical heritage including many convents and abbeys and of course the excellent wines and food are not to be missed. The cities Dijon and Beaune have an air of aristocracy with many historical buildings to remind us of times past. A mere 15km away, lies the International Magny-Cours Formula 1 track where racing and other exciting events are held. Allier, and the Vallee de l'Allier, is a paradise for walkers and cyclists where you can see more than 500 castles.

    Catering:
    - Breakfast: “French” breakfast €9,00 per person. Consists of tea or coffee, baguette, croissants and/or pain au chocolat, home-made jams and fruit. English breakfast €12,50 per person. Breakfast is served in the 'Salle à Manger' between 08.30 and 10.00 o'clock. Breakfast in bed is available for a surcharge of €7,50. A Champagne breakfast can be served on the private terrace of the balcony suite for a extra €30.
    - A five course dinner is available everyday. Reservations are required one day in advance so that we may obtain the freshest ingredients from the local area. Dinner will be at 20.30. Price €42.50 for the five course dinner. A wine list is available.
    - After Dinner: Relax and enjoy a fine glass of cognac, a digestive, or a good cigar in the billiard room.
  • - Picnic basket: Going on a day trip or an afternoon outing - try ordering a picnic basket full of paté, baguette, French cheese, fruit, smoked chicken, a choice of red, white or rose wine, and a bottle of water. A plaid blanket, china, and all utensils are provided. Price: €12,50 per person. Min. 2 persons. Please let us know one day ahead.
  • - Security deposit: €1000. This is paid directly to the owner's bank account and must arrive at least 1 week prior to arrival. It will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
    - Linen & towels: All linen and towels are included in the rental price.
    - Heating costs: Heating is charged at €20 per day in the winter (or when needed). This will be deducted from the security deposit.
    - End of stay cleaning: 200 euros.
    - Catering: During the high season (July & August) 2 table d'hotes dinners must be booked at €42.50 per person for a 5-course banquet. This can be arranged directly with the owner once your booking has been confirmed.

Notes: After dinner the small bar in the billiard room is just right for savouring a fine cognac, cigar or digestive. In the North tower is the library with a fireplace, providing the perfect spot to escape within the pages of a good book or engage friends and family in a game of bridge or chess. The ground floor of the other tower (the lodge) functions as offices, meeting rooms and classrooms for instruction in on site outdoor activities such as Land Rover off-road driving, skeet shooting, archery and golf. The 14 hectare estate is divided into 4 hectares of grassland, 6 hectares of natural woodland and 4 hectares of parks with a pool (10mx5.5m), tennis court, 'Petanque' court and small vineyard. Other activities on site include: children’s playground with trampoline, swing, slide, soccer field, basketball net, boules, ping pong, and a driving range. We also offer clay pigeon shooting, paint balling and archery. There are many seating areas around the castle and a terrace.
