Nice Villa shame about the high speed railway!

We stayed at villa Camelia for two weeks in August 2009, First of all this Villa is not in Theoule-sur-Mer, it's actually situated in a village called Le Trayas which is about 15 min by car from the small town of Theoule-sur-Mer, encircled 300 degrees by the only road in and out of the village, and lies ltiterally few metters away from a high speed live railway which carried passengers and fright.
When we arrived at the villa we were greeted by the owner who turnd up in his underwear and showed us round, the interior was quite rustic, and the furniture was a mix of pine, shabby chic, and straw. You can't help but think that the entire contents has been gathered from varios car-boot sales by the owners over the years, the villa has defiantly seen better days, the blue carpet which covered the stairs and the landing was faded and heavily stained.
When we had a closer look we realised that the villa was not suitable for small children as there was lots of dangerous loose electrical wiring, the stirs which were almost vertical and had no gate, lots of nic-nacks scattered around the house. so we had to keep watching our toddler constantly and not let him out of our sight.
It's was evident that the owner has attempted to do all the repairs and maintenance either by him self or on the cheap.
The two toilets/shower rooms (no bath) were in a terrible condition, again loose fitings and makeshift. also the tv did not work.
We were shocked to find that the villa had no air-conditioning dispite the owner's promises and confirmation that the villa was fully air-conditioned before we booked it, so we had to try and sleep with the windows open and the shatters closed as it was very hot, but found it impossible with all the trains, cars and motorbikes going by, also there was a serous mosquito problem in the area, so my self, my wife and our toddler got bitten relantlessly every night.
We feel that the owner was dishonest with us from the beinning by not declaring the facts about the: Railwaynoise , Road noise, airconditioning, showers, the nearest sandy beach was about 25 min by car.
My advice to any one who wants to rent a villa is to insist on an aerial view of the property and to ask for extra photos of the areas not shown in the advert.
