The chateau has 6 bedrooms, and can sleep 12 in sheer luxury. The chateau has a private pool and a terrace that overhangs the Dordogne river. The setting is impossible to beat. Chateau de Linde is the only chateau that actually ‘stands with its feet’ in the Dordogne river and the owner has created an atmosphere to match this unique feature – a sense of comfort, style and understated magnificence that is inviting and intimate – this luxury holiday chateau destination is perfect. In the late 18thC it was enlarged to its present size and in the 1900s it became a private home. From 1973 to 2005 the chateau was a hotel and highly acclaimed restaurant. The bedrooms are named after the bastide towns in the area. There is a staircase carved underneath the chateau down to the river, where natural spring water flows into the river.

Within easy reach are the 18 historic Bastide towns of the Aquitaine, the Dordogne Valley, thousand chateaux, a rich choice of some of the most renowned troglodyte cave dwellings and of course, a feast of the best food and wine that France has to offer. Regional cuisine is readily available from venues that range from the delightful farm restaurants (Ferme Auberge) through to the most sophisticated Michelin starred establishments, where the food is accompanied by the best wines from Bergerac and Bordeaux. When it comes to golf, the courses in this area abound. Within a radius of about 50 kilometers, there are at least 30 plus golf courses to choose from. If you are interested in Churches and Abbeys you cannot find better than in this area, we are right in the heart of the route of the Santiago de Compostela Pilgrimage.

    - Security deposit: €1000. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
    - Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
    - Energy costs: Included in the rental price.
    - Cleaning: There is a €300 cleaning charge. The property is cleaned before arrival of guests and upon departure and/or once per week. If extra cleaning over and above normal cleaning is required after guests have left, this will be deducted from security deposit. Daily or extra cleaning required by guests during stay, i.e. daily maid service is available at €12 per hour.
  • Catering:

    A full continental breakfast is included (fruit juice, fruit or fruit salad with yoghurt, fresh pastries, bread butter and jam, tea or coffee). Lunches can be ordered for on terrace or in dining room. Dinner can be ordered for up to 12 people on terrace or in dining room (menus can be discussed). All extra meals (dependent on the agreed menu) cost in the region of €30 per person. Picnic baskets can be ordered.

There are two easy chairs which fold out into single beds should they be required. Bedroom 2: Decorated in mauves and yellows withFrench doors leading out onto its own river facing balcony. Bedroom 3: Decorated in greens and pinks with French doors leading out onto its own river and swimming pool facing balcony. Bedroom 4: Decorated in blue and white. Under the rafters, a window looks out over the river. Bedroom 5:Decorated in warm reds. A window that looks out over the river and town. Bedroom 6: Decorated in green and magenta. The bedroom has charming alcoves with seating, from this room you have views over the village and the Dordogne river.
