Apartment great, but area not good

I would like to highlight that the apartment was lovely, although I was very disappointed that there was no cable or satellite, especially as the rental price is on the high side. Another negative is that upon arrival there was no batteries for the remote controls for the TVs and no soap or washing up liquid. At no point was I ever offered for supplies of milk/bread/tea coffee offered and I would have offered to have paid for these.
The village of Playa Paraiso is dire. What restaurants there are open - there is no point in going in as the food would not be fresh as there is no one eating in them. The pool water is freezing cold and the sea even colder. All in all, I thought the experience was very disappointing and it cost a lot of money. My teenage daughter and her friend came along for the break and they had a wonderful time mainly because they met up with two boys of similar age. However, they were perved on by every adult male in the resort. It was disgusting. So anyone thinking of bringing their pretty teenage daughter on holiday to this resort or Tenerife in general, please do not leave them out on their own.
In summary, I wouldn't go back to Tenerife again as there is nothing to do in the resort apart from drink in the dire British run pubs. Tenerife is a hell hole and somewhere I wouldn't recommend going back to.

Owner's Response: We are very surprised by those comments. Because as many people know, Tenerife is much more than go tho british pubs and drink beers. Did you visit the vulcano, the Teide? Have you been to Masca? To La Orotava? To Taganana? Those are wonderful ans so different places to enjoy.
Everybody who has left our apartment told us that the place is amazing, they have liked very much the pool and the new sandy beach near the apartment.
The batteries in the remote control were missing, we would like to apologize again for that. We have fixed the problem 5 minutes after the call of the renters. We have never left soap in the apartment and we have never received any complaint.
