Golf Holidays:
La Orquidea holiday resort is a great base for a number of surrounding golf courses.
Known to many as the Costa del Golf, the region is a popular destination for amateurs and seasoned professionals alike. The weather is a major contributor to this. Long hours of sunshine and gentle breezes provide the perfect conditions for practice and relaxation in the many club houses.
Golfing holidays are becoming more and more popular each year.
There are two golf courses within five minutes walk of the resort. La Siesta Golf Club and Calahonda Golf are just down the road.
Ski and Snowboard:
Many people are surprised to learn that the Costa del Sol in Spain also offers a wide ranger of winter sports, such as skiing and snowboarding.
The number one location in Spain is in Andalucia, near Granada in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, only two hours away from La Orquidea, Calahonda on the Costa del Sol.

All the sailing ports offer facilities for both the expert sailor and the beginner, including many schools able to offer official skippers’ licences.
Whether celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a relaxing holiday idea, the Mediterranean coastline around Calahonda can cater for anything you may want.
